I just helped my kids dentist drop $10k on a new stereo.
Wasn’t sure if alfalfa or hay counted as grass fed.
At the ol’ family small farm in Kansas it was alfalfa, hay and silage (whole corn stalk ground up) in the winter. I’m not sure where the hay came from since I think it was bought from other farms but the alfalfa was grown, cut and bailed while the silage was cut, shredded and stored. Maybe the hay was also cut and bailed? Could not tell you what grasses they were or whether alfalfa is classified as grass.

1 and 3 are both truth.
I have banned HFCS from my house for years, but I also haven't bought the Messican Coke. Where this would really make a big difference is with Pop Tarts and those little Hostess pies. I haven't had one of those in years due to HFCS. Make Hostess Great Again!
Mexico has higher obesity rates than the US even with better soda pop.
Perhaps there may be some public health benefit to banning high fructose corn syrup. I don’t know. But at best it’s still scratching at the margins virtue signaling IMHo.
The only way to cure obesity is caloric deficit - which is hard and a process - or cheating with drugs DeBoner style. Switching from one shitty sugar to a better one ain’t gonna save you.

HFCS is absolutely the #1 or #2 thing that needs to be immediately, systemically removed from US food.

I’m not dying on a hill to defend HFCS but the cure for obesity is giving up Coke and Pepsi, not switching from one sugar to another. The amount of surgery drinks consumed in this country is disgusting. My parents rarely let us drink soft drinks as kids and the habit stuck. Oh and we didn’t get to have a Nintendo or Sega set up either.

I’ve been kinda following this thread, but before it gets any Tug-gier, I might as well throw in my two cents as this is a topic near and dear to my heart, both personally and professionally (as you can imagine we ladies at the brothel want to stay in tip top shape):
Three quotes I always come back to…
The first is from author Michael Pollan, an author most famous for writing “Omnivore’s Dilemma”: Eat food, mostly vegetables, not too much.
The second (and @YellowSnow introduced me to this one) is from the OG fitness guru, Jack LaLanne: Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Put them together, and you've got a kingdom.
And finally, my excellent PCP told me, “good health is simple - but not easy.”
And that’s just it. We? make this WAY too hard at a micro level. I got in much better shape when I started cutting out crap (sugar, caffeine, booze - those are treats now) and started moving again (nothing crazy, walking and weight lifting)…
…but here’s the piece people keep forgetting, your stress level.
I’m still not where I want to be yet because my sleep is shit and work is chaotic. Pile on other stressors that most people have (money, relationships, politics, Husky football) and that’s a recipe for hormone imbalance (especially cortisol).
That’s the bigger piece of the puzzle that’s missing - our society won’t let us properly rest and when we’re awake throws too much at us. It’s no small wonder most of us are sick in one way or another.

I like know that stress is super impactful.
But my blood sugar calorie carb protein fat fiber insulin exercise etc etc measuring brain has no idea how to measure it.
I do yoga a few times per week assuming the breathing and focus helps with that. I am confident that helps prevent injuries. But stress levels… like how can you tell?
