Jack Lockner retires

Locker was not a good QB at UW or in the NFL. We can now close the book on that topic. Anyone who argues otherwise is probably better off with Kim and his minions at Doogman.

Unless you know the guy personally, why care about the other shit? I'm much more interested in Magna-Carta and this newest greatest QB ever from Folsom.

I think the Doogs and media acting like the guy could walk on water while just glossing over his inaccuracy bugged me. It wasn't exactly Jake himself. I don't think he was cunning enough to play the PR game at 19-22 but if somehow he was actively touting himself, then he deserves some blame.

To Jake Locker,

Thanks for the boner during the Syracuse game.

Thanks for keeping the boner during the Boise State game.

Thanks for the Holiday Bowl win.

Sorry you didn't leave a year sooner before the new agreement went into place limiting your income.

Trust me, he wasn't the one touting himself.

Jake is a good dude. He was also a pretty good college QB that had the misfortune of playing for coaches like Ty and Sark.

He had no coach who knew what to do with him, how to use him or how to teach him. He did the best he could. Why hate on that kind of guy?

Yeah this. I don't get it. Nobody is breaking any new ground here. Any debate about Locker as a player was over a long time ago. He had enough talent to get picked 8th in spite of being a pretty shitty QB. He had a predictably lackluster NFL career. He's not known for being particularly bright ("I can't see anything!"..."Jake, pull your helmet up it's covering your eyes").

None of this shit is up for debate and it's all been beaten to death. Now he's done. Some want to compliment him because they're classy like that. Some don't give a fuck because they don't give a fuck (I'm in this category). I can understand either of those stances. I really can't understand the continuing need to bash him about things that were pretty well accepted long ago. He wasn't the savior. He's not a saint. He's not a genius. He's not a very good QB. Old news...

Bashing him for being a pussy is what this bored does best.

I wish Irishdoog were here to tell us how he was about to have a pro bowl season.

that's some cold shit

Yeah, that's true. It's something I agree wholeheartedly with too.
