Getting out with relatively good health ...

Tells me that at least one of his injuries in Tennessee had to be severe enough for him to question whether or not he wanted to keep taking the punishment.

I'm not a Locker hater at all ... he had his warts as a QB but he also was an exceptional talent in many regards.
 
We have had this on good authroity and knew he was going to retire a month ago. Just didn't want to say anything on the boards.

Hopefully UO game....he really performed well against them.
 
I will never understand the hatred for Jake ...

He had his flaws ...

But I never once thought that the pinning of anything on him was worthwhile. He came through in big situations far more often than he failed.

He made $12.5M with his rookie deal. When you factor in taxes, agent fees, etc., he probably is walking away with over $5M easily.

I'm sure he'll have some kind of tie-in to the UW one way or another. I don't think he'll be hurting for money. He'll always be viewed fondly by the UW community.

Seems like locker is pretty well educated and smart kid, so that 5 could have grown greatly over the last 4-5 years.
