On an article of this magnitude you would think that the Editor-In-Chief might have stuck his nose into the newsroom and asked for a meeting with the reporters. Might have forestalled some shit reporting.

So you don't think the editor-in-chief along with the Atlantic attorneys didn't do some after the fact due diligence before retracting the story? Sounds like they have some non-mythical attorneys.

The story is obviously bullshit. The Atlantic is a political tabloid that also made up the “losers and suckers” fantasy that was denied by everybody there, including John Bolton, who had no reason to cover for Trump. The National Enquirer of politics with all the unnamed sources.

The Tweet in my OP is as false as the story it references.
