It will be over after we smoke the Cougs and Demond looks good. It will start up again when we lose a game and he doesn’t.
My guess is Indiana. 800k+ living alums and I don't know if they have this loyalty to the Penn State brand the same way they do to Michigan and Ohio State.

WR loses an NFL player that isn't replaced and they lost the 3rd or 4th guy
RB loses 2 high level players and has skat backs and jags left
TE loses an NFL guy and have no one in the bullpen

Coleman and Mohammed were not that good.
Quentin Moore is an NFL guy? He caught about 5 passes, ever. Solid blocker but for fucks sakes...Littleton and Feeney.
I haven't really seen a bad Roadie take, yet. OTOH, Canadawg, sometimes I think you don't even watch the games.
The two most critical parts of the offense, also making up the majority of the offense (in numbers and importance), are the QB and the OLine. Both will be better. The OL added depth while improving the starting unit which will make Demond even better on top of his "second year of starting" development.
Losing Boston hurts but that is the only other significant loss as there is not a dearth of ability in the TE room (as you suggest). Moore's contributions can be replaced fairly easily with what returns (and the newbies). RB is likely a wash as we lost one injury prone back and one who didn't even want to be here.

Finau was an important piece and shouldn't be dismissed offhand. He played 426 snaps at three positions, committed zero penalties and gave up zero sacks. It matters little whether he was going to start or not. He played a lot, was very good, and there's going to be a cost to losing him.
Nothing against him but his takes are generally pretty vanilla. He said "someone will step up at RB". Enthralling. Riveting even.
When people are new to football they think the TE is just a big WR but they are equally important as a blocker. Hth
You can give him all the roadie you want but it's just "either way it'll be interesting" in disguise
I mean Moore was injured all of 2024 and Coleman ran for 1000 yards behind some chewing gum a bouncy ball and some jacks. Moore was a good blocker but the Huskies RBs ran more consistently in 2024 without him than they did with him. You could blame Judd on that a bit. Maybe Williams because he’s not great in the read option. When Moore was in the games there was little mystery on what his job was. He rarely left the LOS. Sometimes the best part of a TE in scheme is the “Will he or won’t he” of what his job might be on any given play. Moore was 95% “he won’t”.

UW has the highest rated RB recruit they've ever had at a position where freshman routinely are major contributors and can often be "the guy"
They have an older player in Limar who appears explosive.
Washington flashed last year with limited reps, definitely a home run hitter.
There are a couple other guys floating around who I believe were 4 stars or at the very least highly sought after.

Finau was a great piece. I’m sad hes gone. He wanted to start and I’m pretty sure Judd said he could battle Champ for the starter job at guard. BYU offered a straight starting job. I’m not going to blame UW for that. The tackle they got from Sam Houston is rated the same as Willis as a transfer. I’m glad they aren’t just giving the LT job to Greene. I was afraid Fish, the starter of young men, would just hand the job over. He’s got to earn it. Whoever loses that fight will be a nice option off the bench to help soothe the sting of the Paki loss. G. Hatchett is your interior backup at all three spots. UW goes into 26 with seven legitimate solid line options. Four of the seven guys can play tackle and four of them can play inside with Mills being the one that can do both.

The Feeney Littleton thing is getting stale. We're on a message board we're going to talk about players. I happen to think they would be better with a couple of the guys that left than without them but either way it will be interesting

You might misunderstand the Moore thing. Yeah sure he wasn't lighting it up with catches but it's what they have on the roster NOW that is relavent. If I felt Degraaf was capable of blocking or being an electric playmaker I wouldn't even mention Moore but the fact is there's a big concern there until we see otherwise so the lack of even Moore is scary
I remember when the 2008 line was ready to rumble. I still have nightmares about that fat, slovenly unit. I like the pieces and I see the potential for real progress but I’ll crown their ass after I see them play a team with a pulse. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas.
