what im hearing re: p12 network/tv contract/boofs bouncin

Typical of UW waiting it out and reacting rather than doing what is necessary for its best interests.

got to play the game, man. big 10 is doing the same thing.

'we were shocked when the pac-9 fell apart but were delighted to find uw in the burning dumpster, they really align to what our universities strive* to be'

*outside of crimes against children

The AppleTV deal is still available through the end of the week

If I were Wazzu or OSU, I'd be jumping all over that

$20m for a MWC-like conference is better than heading to the MWC and getting $1.1m or whatever

It's *unthinkable* to think that 5 years ago the Pac 12 could be in this position?

That would be 2018 when UW was beating Utah 10-3 in a empty Levi's Stadium on a Friday night with everyone close to the PAC 12 predicting this very outcome.

I don’t know how many threads there are now talking realignment but this is as good a place as any to poast this.

From what I’ve read, the Arizona schools share a BoR and that BoR meets this afternoon/evening supposedly to vote on or at least discuss joining the Big12.

Utah is reportedly on board with following them if they go.

UW’s BoR meets at 2100 (hi @PurpleBaze!) but isn’t voting on anything due to their rules. Colorado had a BoR meeting where they then scheduled the vote to joint the Big12.

UWs meeting is after the Arizona BoR meets which leads me to believe the UW BoR will know if the Arizona schools are leaving and therefore schedule their own vote for a follow on meeting. Hopefully that meeting happens tomorrow and isn’t punted until Monday.

I think it was Wilner who twatted that the fate of Pac will be settled one way or the other in the next 24/36 hours.

Thanks Nacho!

That's a shame gif

Why is Dickert wearing a red UW hat?

I've always thought their crimson was red. Pisses off the Cuog acquaintances when I make references to their red uniforms.

doesn't Dickert make like $3M all in?
probably can answer his own question....

I can’t wait for dickert’s press conference asking the media what’s Oregon ever won and asking what have they won because he doesn’t remember anything.

The deal was based on most of the other teams staying and the possibility of adding SDSt, SMU and for some reason Hawaii or Fresno.

$250 mill per year is chump change for Apple. But why would any company invest in the PAC 12 now?

Exactly. And the Mtn West HAS A CONTRACT that will have to be bought out.

If Apple somehow took a value added approach and didn’t charge a separate subscription, it could work.

Nah. There still aren’t enough eyeballs to make it worth it from a business standpoint.
