Washington coach Jedd Fisch stays mum about contract situation

If Franklin couldn't win it all at Penitentiary (har har) State, he sure as hell can't do it at Washington.
Absolutely not. I can't think of a single previously-fired college coach that I would consider in the slightest, other than Kiffin. Especially one like Franklin, that if he did find success here, would assuredly just then look to leave for a better job. I'd take Mora over him in that category of coach because at least he might consider being loyal.
Feels like a UW that is living in a data-informed world would go hard after Mora in back channels right now.
Forget the data. Who is baking the cake?!

I’ve been watching Is it Cake? I think I can pull off an Olindo Mare shank cake

It just makes sense that Mora eventually lands this job. It is the ultimate happy-ending script, and we could blow this place up once and for all.
Then die with smiles on our faces.

I had suspicions about DeBoer going all the way back to when Grubb "interviewed" at A&M and Alabama at the end of 2022. Shocking coincidence these interviewed at the two big jobs that were likely to open up after 2023.
I figured fuck it and let's see what happens in 2023 though. Get the most out of it. I've said it 10 times but Grubb giving some personal message after the first Oregon win was a terrible feeling.
I think we were all distracted by the season and didn't think about it and doom and gloom as much as we should have.
Need to have the next move already set up. If this guy really wants to take the fucking graveyard that is the UCLA job my gawd.
If Fisch takes the UCLA gig WDWHA because he is a full blown loser. Nobody who gives a shit about winning wants to work at UCLA.
Mora, Neuheisel and Chip Kelly all took the UCLA job
Chip after he failed out of the NFL and was a college retread looking for a paycheck.
Mora because that was his best option after failing out of the NFL.
Neu played there.
Point being, nobody goes to UCLA to move their career forward. If Jedd has any ambition he's not going to UCLA.
UCLA really hasn't done much since Robert Toledo got them some top ten seasons. New weasel got them blown out in the Pac 12 CG if I remember right.

@Joey
That's true, and he got his ass kicked by Purdue at the end, but then still handled "top 3 or 5 coach" in the country Chris Petersen whose offense scored 3 points the game before.
My problem is just the quooking about Petersen and Browning. 8, 7, 8 wins half his years, Browning was terrible 3 out of his 4 seasons.
Both had plenty of chances to shut me up and Pete would rather just wear a purple tie on Fox and ass grab with Matt Leinhart since he actually had a good record against USC while at UW.
Peterman was better off as a coach in the 80s and 90s. The game passed him by before it really started. Great coach maybe elite but not a snake. You needed to be a snake and be elite
I don’t agree about the snake part. He could have been exactly how he was, except with a good offense, and he would have won. The burnout was not the problem. Trotting out bullshit offenses with average QB play was.

@Fire_Marshall_Bill
The Weasel got screwed by Brett Hundley's injury and impatient AD.
Mora takes over with Rick's players, most notably Hundley, and hits 10 wins. Mora went downhill after 2 seasons once he had to win with his guysm.
Neuheisel is a good coach.

I feel like a snake would’ve fired one of his shitty coordinators

Neuheisel is a good coach.
Neuheisel has had one good season in the last 30 years
He is mediocre

NFL GMs shy away from quarterbacks with ugly girlfriends, and UW ADs would be smart to shy away from coaches with Texas bimbos as wives. That dipshit Dannen could've taken one look at Amber Fisch and realized she was going to hate Seattle.

we don't even know if Amber hates Seattle.
She lived here before when Fisch coached the Seahawks.
Either its because it was good for the daughters to have stability after 3 years in Arizona, or fisch lips is getting a divorce.
BONEM

Last I checked, WASHINGTON was (or should be) above screech-anxiety around a coach potentially leaving. Coaches of many types have won here at high levels across all generations. That being said, if I'm Chun, I pay the man handsomely if he goes 10-2 BONEM mode because any five second DaTa-dRiVeN AnAlySiS tells you that CFB head coach hires are statistically far more likely to bust than boom.

This isn't dialed in at all …
IF Jedd leaves I suspect a huge reasoning behind him leaving will become more publicly known

He had seasons of 10-2, 10-2 and 11-1, so that's three seasons. That being said, he was overall the definition of mediocrity.

I wonder if the Arizona Cardinals will make a run at him. They may fire Gannon and they think he can get the most out of Kyler Murray. His family would love it obviously.

Nothing you've ever posted has been dialed in
