Warrant? We don't need no stinkin' warrant.

It all boils down to this….

When a “protestor” follows their local and state leader’s incendiary rhetoric and makes a conscious decision to violently engage federal agents in an attempt to interfere with lawful execution of federal statutes, I say to myself that it’s extremely unfortunate but in context the cost of doing business.

When a 12yo girl is raped and murdered by an illegal alien who was brought to this country under the cover of darkness by an administration who saw a 4 year opportunity to stack the deck, from an electoral perspective, the left looks at that and says “gee that’s unfortunate but it’s the cost of doing business.”

The difference is the legality of the business and the fact that 12yo little girl never had the opportunity to decide whether or not she wanted to be a part of this story, and in that context I am VERY comfortable with where I land on this issue.

So, from the bottom of my heart to people like @UiagaleleiUgly @DucksFC @HHusky
@HuskyBuck and the rest of the idiot brigade, go fuck yourselves.

I would be interested in the amount of real world pressure being brought on Minnesota politicians. If you are a small or even large Minneapolis business there is only one way out of this mess and that is to have Minneapolis and Minnesota comply with federal law and turn over the criminal illegals to ICE. When a blue city cedes control of the streets to the mob you get what happened to Seattle and Portland and Minneapolis. Portland media and politicians pretend they have the way figured out to bring back what is never coming back unless the people and businesses are free from crime and the homeless, fraudsters and high taxes and regulations. When the leftard solutions here on the Tug and on the streets is more of the above then that's what you will get unless the dems are voted out of office. When the US citizens supposedly voted out Trump from office in 2020 look what happened when the children took over. Covid failure to decimate the economy and small businesses and then the summer of love to honor St. George Floyd.

The Minnesota weekend gave the Feds the ability to gather evidence on who was creating havoc. Travel records, money flow, etc. Throbber is actually aware of a former Spokane city council member whose wife just 'happened' to be in Minneapolis last week and was joining the "protest." Purely coincidental, I'm sure. Oh wait, the same guy was arrested for obstructing ICE operations in Spokane.

There will be another ICE "protest" in, say, Chicago or most likely Seattle or Portland. The paid mob will descend and reak havoc again - supplying more travel records, money flow, etc.

This time Trump has his own guysms in there and they'll put the ban hammer down instead of fucking around having to deal with the FBI plants held over from the Obama years.

Cook it.

Left thinks a picture of Rittenhouse with a gun demonstrates that this is morally equivalent to their two heroes attacking ICE. Nope.

THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HASN’T COVERED ITSELF WITH GLORY IN ITS GUN-RELATED STATEMENTS ON THE PRETTI SHOOTING: This piece from Bearing Arms parses things pretty well.

UPDATE: Larry Correia has thoughts, too. Excerpt that captures his inimitable style:

That whole Noem/Patel narrative is bunk. Lots of Americans exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in public, even when there’s some dumb ass “protest” going on.

What law abiding gun carriers DON’T DO however is fuck around with cops while armed, and if they do willfully fuck around with cops, getting arrested or shot shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone.
A big part of every CCW class is about what to do when dealing with law enforcement, and none of that involves following them around, tailing their cars, honking horns in their ears, throwing shit, breaking shit, meddling in their arrests, “directing traffic”, obstructing traffic, biting people’s fingers off, or just being general fucking weirdo nuisance temper tantrum throwers to provide cover for illegal alien rapists as a diversion because your democrat governor just got caught giving billions of tax dollars to imaginary Somali children and the democrats really want to win the midterms so they can get back to destroying America forever.

That was a run on sentence, but these people are really fucking stupid. And it appears that they’ve had a Signal chat for MN government officials to coordinate this fuckery with the useful idiots too.
Did this particular dude do all that? No. Did he do some of that? Yes. So again, getting shot is a bummer, but not at all shocking.

If you want to see who is honest and who is a lying partisan hack dipshit in situations like this, watch for the people who ignore all the context, history, and events which set the stage for a particular incident, who then focus instead on minutia and playing back video frame by frame in ultra slow mo.

Like I said yesterday, just off math and basic probability, if you provoke chaotic encounters against the same bunch of feds, day in and day out, over and over, hoping for a violent altercation, eventually you’re going to get a violent altercation. Duh.
Yes. Indeed, getting that altercation may or may not have been Pretti’s plan, but it’s definitely what the organizers of these riots wanted to happen.

Resident wingnut has zero clue how any of this actually works in real life. None. Nada, Zip. Bupkis. but here he/she is screaming under its purple hairdo!
I think some of these talking heads are walking a thin line here about what kind of gun he had, how many rounds, it had sights, etc. Who cares how much the gun cost? Also, the term "military-style" is now being used to show this guy as a dangerous threat, but the same people using that term now have historically laughed at the left when they call AR-15's weapons of war, etc. I don't think that those details are really at all relevant and are better left out of the discussion given the circumstances. Some people like to buy nice things.

I haven't seen any video of what was occurring prior to this guy being on the ground. Did he start a physical altercation with the officers? If the guy was actively attempting to use the gun he poses an immediate threat. If he got into a shoving match, they get him on the ground, and they happen to see he has a gun, I don't think constitutes using deadly force. ATBS, a person who thinks they're exercising good judgment by confronting officers while carrying a firearm is putting their lives into the hands of a LEO and should expect that it's 50/50 on if they'll survive the confrontation. Right or wrong, this is common sense.

What I don't like here is that this guy's saying that if I'm concealed carrying, walking down the street, and an officer detains me for some reason and sees my gun, all they have to do is yell "gun" and an officer can then shoot me.

The whacked out woman that ran her car into the cop (whether intentionally, or not) posed a threat and I thought use of force was justified in the bang/bang reaction of that moment. I'm going to need to see much clearer video than what I'm seeing here to make a determination on this one. I'm all for law and order, and fully support ICE getting illegals sent out of the country, but am not going to move on my principles. Ends justifying the means is the world of Democrats.

Ultimately, what would be nice to see more commonly acknowledged is that peaceful protesting does not mean getting in the faces of LEO's and obstructing their activities. It would be nice if the loony left would advise their supporters on this particular detail. Neither of these incidents in Minnesota would've happened if the citizens involved would mind their own business and stay out of the way of ICE.

Ern and Che sure made themselves scarce once the Signal stuff was uncovered

Or maybe they are en route to MSP to join their comrades.
