All you have to do is try. Emphasize recruiting, make it fun for the kids in the program and they will recruit for you too. Make sure your coordinators know their shit. Cheat a little bit behind the scenes and they will compete for the north every year. A lot of ppl on this board forget the conference is pathetic.

Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Oregon, FSU and Penn State all have white OLB/DE coaches. They all in recent memory have out recruited UW. It’s a dumb argument. Coach up the players you have and sell the program to players you want. We’ll find out if these guys are good at it in a couple years. None of us knows shit at the moment. LIPO

So...we got the ENTIRE Fresno coaching staff? I guess the big question of will DeBoner bring in super star assistants that are killer recruiters? The answer is not only 'NO" but fresNO. I look at this move and i'm 'whelmed'

We've went from Pete and his 5 Million w/ Assistant Pool at 6, to Kalen at 4 and Asst. Pool approx 4.5 million.

Anyone think that freed up money is being used in recruiting/support operations part of the program? Hell to the f NO

The two best recruiters on staff (Huff/Adams) should have a negative length leash to be here at the end of season, and are on a 12 game audition for their job. That should play well in recruits living rooms.

A) Chris Fetters in a nutshell. Coach Pete had a track record on his resume. Kalen has one 1.5 years at Freson. One has zero to do with other

B) Instead of proving Fetters point, all it did was reinforce narrative that it's a underwhelming overall staff top to bottom as b/c of his lack of P5 head coaching experience, Kalen had to purge the Indiana and Fresno State programs to fill his position coaches with.

C) If this was any another upper P5 program who signed this group of position coaches, we would all sit here and laugh at it including the one in Eugene who would get two chuckles.

Fetters comparing deboer to Petersen just makes me wanna smack him. I try not to comment when he says things. He's the kid that needs to get beat up but you can't beat up because it would be like picking on the special Ed student. This greater than thou sports expert schtick ....

So I'm not going to make fun of his weight, although he looks a lot like weird Al from the I'm fat music video

Instead, he obviously wears his pants way too high. His belt touches his nipples and his zipper holds his belly in place.

Otherwise I'm sure he's a good guy

I know their OL coach has a terrible reputation as a recruiter and coach so good on DeBoer for not inviting him
