I actually think it is pretty hard to have an entertaining level of success in college football. College basketball as a power conference program seems like accidentally you should be able to make the tournament every 3-4 years. UW's level of struggle is mind boggling and it feels like you have to ditch Sprinkle now. There's no way he's going to be better next year and all you are doing is waiting out a higher buyout. Fucking insane.

ADs are fucking insane to sign coaches to long term contract. Defies all definition of economics supply and demand.
Getting rid of Sprinkle shouldn’t cost millions of dollars. Getting rid of any coach shouldn’t cost millions of dollars.
And don’t give me this bullshit that Nick Saban was worth billions to Alabama. That’s a unicorn. Fine - pay him $10 million for a natty. But when he goes 4-9, here’s two weeks pay and GTFO like the rest of America.
Yet here we are with PE teachers having more job security and exponentially higher pay than 95% of the school’s graduates.

Yeah a 5+ million buyout for a guy that got to the tournament at Montana State and won a MWC title at Utah State was not a great idea. I loved the hire at the time because he seemed like he really wanted to win at Washington and he probably still does. Team is just idiotic on both sides of the ball though because they're poorly coached.
