The Knowledge’s 🏀 UW hoops mega thread

Why do you hate Frank's five blocks in the first ten minutes? The catalyst for all of the above.
I love when Frank blocks shots. If he could just catch the ball on an entry pass or hit a three foot hook shot I’d mention him as a bigger reason the Huskies won. He’s 100% an offensive liability. It’s like playing 4 on 5 with him on the court. With the Huskies season long issues shooting, having Yates making shots early was the separator more than Kepnang’s blocks IMO.

I hate to make excuses here but they've been looking decent post Seattle U loss I think. Losses to a bunch of top 15 teams and other good blue bloods definitely not helping the record obviously

Let’s see how they do against Iowa. This team actually has a chance if it plays like it did last night.

I’ll believe it when I see it, but the tourney is not out of the question.
I had to reread this post twice. It’s tinged with a little doubt but this may be the most positive thing you’ve written since UW won the Sugar Bowl. I agree with you. I had written these guys and Sprinkle off but they’ve dragged me back in. Iowa is the litmus test and the margins are razor thin. Fail on Wednesday and TSIO.

I can doog when it’s deserved. I don’t subscribe to faith when it’s based on wishes, hopes and past performance

Diallo's mid range game looking crisp.

Him and Yates have kept a UW basketball season alive in February for the first time in years.

Yeah, this is B1G basketball and 5/7 conference games have come again top 5-10 teams.

This isn't the gay ass Pac 12 full of "dark horses" like Wayne Tinkle where you're happy to get 2 teams in.

They've played Turdue, the Mich. schools, Indiana, Illinois, and for some reason Nebraska is really good, possibly for the first tim. I think all of those schools are top 15 or 20 except for Indiana, and that was in Bloomington.

I'm not happy with 4-7 but I believe they were competitive in most of those games. The back half of the schedule is easier and I think they have a two week period without 4-6 hour flights to the Midwest or East Coast.

Losing at home to UCLA is really the only game I’d like to have back. As they seemed to do a lot a few weeks ago, they fell behind by a lot early and rallied to almost pull the game out. Just like the USC game only they didn’t win. That’s the loss that just might keep this team out of the tournament. Needed that one badly. Oh, and losing to whiny, midget Cronin also fucking sucks.

Without knowing all the nerdy quadrant and SOS stuff, they'd need to go at least 7-2 to make the tournament, which is doubtful. I think I stopped caring during the Hopkins years.

Dana Altman is trying to use UW as an excuse right now, claiming that they're a tournament team.
