We need Jed to take a punch at some schmuck vs Purdue, it’s our only hope.
Call Eck right this fucking second.Too many are oblivious to the fact that if/when Jedd leaves this offseason that the balance of the roster leaves with him.
The next hire will almost assuredly lose not only the roster but the recruits in this class.
The odds of hiring anybody at Jedd's level is one that I wouldn't bet on as I have very minimal respect for Chun
What's the best hire that you're making if Jedd leaves?
Wilcox? Babushka? Eck? Mora?
None of them are bringing a roster with them that replaces the one that leaves … not even close.
I'd love to get someone better but realistically … who is getting hired given that UW will be at the back of the queue when it comes to beginning and executing a coaching search.
If you thought 2024 was bad 2026 will be worse if Jedd leaves and the rebuild will be far less rapid than what we saw from 2024 to 2025.
I don't think UW controls anything with respect to keeping Jedd … if UCLA is able to bring to the table anything that approaches comparable resources to UW where Jedd feels like he can bring the important parts of his roster with him … he's out
I can't wait to see those that were pissed at Jedd's 6-6 last year get pissed at what comes after when 3-9 or 4-8 is on the table
If you think Pat Chun is going to make a good hire … good luck
Always good to have a Coug loser heading up the UW Athletic Department
That's always my take. Coach hiring is a crapshoot. Never know where lighting will strike. Person, time and circumstance. Say it again.I’ve always leaned more towards Jedd being a good coach, but jeez man. Get a grip. If he leaves, we hire another coach and like most coaches, it will be a crap shoot if he ends up being good.Too many are oblivious to the fact that if/when Jedd leaves this offseason that the balance of the roster leaves with him.

The truth is, there is really no basis for guessing that Fisch's odds of succeeding are better than the next guy's. None of us really knows and there is only 'kind of' a formula, that being the guy who's won a lot at a lesser program, and even that one misses as often as it hits.Let's be clear Roady …I’ve always leaned more towards Jedd being a good coach, but jeez man. I don't give 2 shits about Jedd as a coach as to whether he's the guy or not … about the only thing that I'd say is that he's probably got better odds than whoever the next guy is
The issue today isn't about the coach … it's about the roster
When you've had 4 coaches in 6 years and you're looking at potentially having 5 in 7 years that's an absolute train wreck for roster stability and what that looks like going forward
My motivation has always been about not having the roster gutted
A good coach, wandering eyes or not, doesn’t lose this game today. The defense was fine, good even. It was Judds offense that was an abortion. Also, UW has had awful special teams for two years with two different coordinators. What’s the common denominator?@creepycoug
Let's play some hypotheticals here …
It probably doesn't matter if Fisch leaves after this year by choice or not … you're going to lose the balance of the roster regardless
I'll even agree with you that retaining a coach that you know isn't the guy is not a good long term strategy … see Penn State
But what I do think that you can agree with me on is that IF you lose the balance of your roster you need to be realizing that there is a heavy likelihood of at least a 2-3 year rebuild ahead
So if in Year 1 of the next coach that you go 3-9, I don't want to hear people already claiming that this coach isn't the guy when the roster isn't there …
And I don't want to hear in Year 2 if that coach goes 5-7 or 6-6 that he's clearly not the guy …
At some point you need to get out of the cycle of having coaches for a max of 2 years …
We're already at 4 coaches from 2019 forward (CP, Lake, DeBoer, Fisch) … if/when Fisch leaves we'll be at 5 coaches (not counting an interim coach) in less than 10 years. That's horrific
The old "who are you gonna get that's better?" argument was used a lot by those who would rather have kept Sark too.Too many are oblivious to the fact that if/when Jedd leaves this offseason that the balance of the roster leaves with him.

People have been trumpeting the schedule is really easy next year and in 2027, maybe a good Tim? Fusch squandered a ridiculously easy schedule this year already. We even got Ohio State at the best time to get them when they were just breaking in Sayin. We also get Oregon when they're banged up. That's been the only upshot of this all .. I've been waiting to buy tickets (or not) for the Dick game.Atmosphere at the Oregon game will be flat unless Chudd’s team team plays inspired the next 2 weeks. I know I don’t currently give a fuck.
You always go to a rivalry game and/or care. That's non-negotiable.Atmosphere at the Oregon game will be flat unless Chudd’s team team plays inspired the next 2 weeks. I know I don’t currently give a fuck.
I partially agree, Rodie. One, it's hard to say who leaves. Depends on where he goes and who replaces him and who throws money around. Two, it's not that hard to pick up new dudes. Even Cristobal is pretty adept at it, having several really nice pickups last two cycles. If that shit brain can do it, ….I somewhat agree with Tequilla about the roster. I would rather have Williams and see if he can develop with a better supporting crew, but I also hate that we are this bad on the road and think it’s a really bad sign of Fisch not being the guy.
I was pretty happy to not be at that rainy ass Jimmy lake calls a punt Oregon game a few years ago.You always go to a rivalry game and/or care. Some seasons you? play for BONEM and some seasons they? play for BWNEM. That's how heated rivalries work my freng.
