The Case for Franklin

Depending on who Franklin hired as OC he would do fine here. If he hired a West Coast guru ala a Tedford, the sky is the limit.
He would bring in some of the best recruiting classes UW has ever seen.
Husky Stadium is a harder place to play than Beaver Stadium which is insanely overrated.
He would probably peak at final four just like he did at Pedo State.
That said, it's moot because the only way Jedd is getting shown the door is if the team is 7-6 or worse in year 4.
So we better fucking hope Jedd pulls his head from his ass and figures out how to coach an offense and call plays. And we better hope he can hold on to Walters at DC.
All this talk is fun and all, but HH cant fire Fisch, and Chun sure as shit isnt.
DeBoer, Dillingham, Tony Elliot, Jeff Brohm, Mike Norvell, Ryan Day, Eli Drinkowitz, Sonny Dykes, Jeff Tedford all gave up plays calling to be a CEO.
Kiffin, Sark and Judd refuse to relinquish the title.
All three that still call plays might take their programs to another level by just letting go. Kiffin and Sark might finally field championship teams, Judd might get a playoff out of his efforts. There are so many moving parts in college football. Donors, academics, recruiting, the volatility of young kids and growing up, strength programs, nutrition, discipline, offense and defense game planning, travel etc. Making sure each cog is working seamlessly and efficiently is the head man's job. Literally having your fingers into everything making sure the engine is purring. I can't imagine any of the three is as involved in the whole operation of their program because making an offensive scheme each week specifically for each opponent has got to be all encompassing. Things must fall through the cracks. On the road that seems to be UW's offense. Chum won't fire Judd but he could demand a real college OC be brought in. That would be a big step in the right direction as long as it wasn't clipboard Jimmy D.

I don't think he has a lot of West Coast recruiting ties.
I'm not excited about the idea, but it beats Fish, his Madden play calling, and losing to 2-6 teams.

Eck or Mora. Or maybe the Fresno or SDSU coach. But UW isn't looking for a new coach this year or next.

The only hope is that Chinn is on it and is secretly interviewing in case Judd decides to leave and is blown away by someone and just decides to fire Fisch and make a new hire.

It isn’t happening though.

They enjoy it. Thats why they call the plays. If they weren’t calling the plays, they wouldn’t enjoy coaching. It’s too time consuming to be fully locked into everything else. I agree that the vast majority of the time, it’s to the detriment of the program.

I hear that but nothing feels as good as winning. It’s a weird hill to die on as a multi million dollar head coach IMHO.

Have always suspected it’s because they have no idea any other way to coach without that responsibility, meaning they aren’t real coaches.

There are some local artists around here who love their job. Not sure they make as much as Jedidiah

Play callers like to showoff their new toys on Christmas Day. Game day is Christmas Day

In a honest moment Fisch would tell you he doesn’t know shit about defense or special teams, and probably just knows the basics on offensive line play.

Yes, let’s absolutely spend $12 million a year on a guy who couldn’t get a national title at one of the blue blood programs.
Certainly, he’ll be able to get UW there!
God, the retardation is thick here.
Penn State is a blue blood?

Oh no you got a little over your skis there buddy

Whatever your definition of Blue Blood is, one thing is certain: Penn State’s blood is significantly bluer than UW’s

You know how we know Penn State is tier 1? It's incredibly simple. The people who want to buy a 10% stake in the conference for $2.4 billion say so. Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan are tier 1.
They get $190m up front, Oregon and USC get $150m, and the rest get $110m. The tier 1 programs get 5.5% of whatever revenue share, Oregon and USC get 5%, and the rest get 4.5%.
There's no need to overthink this. The proof is in the pudding.

Do you know what blue blood refers to? It means the all time accomplishment of a program it has nothing to do with current power. Doubling down on being confidently incorrect is very on brand for you though
