Lake is leaving soon regardless, I'd rather see him at a place like OSU that isn't a threat to recruit against UW. He can be Smith's DC.

If you can't see that 70-21 in your own house to the hated Huskies had him as a dead man walking, I can't help you. It's not when they get fired, it's when their fate is sealed. Peterman has sealed three fates in three years. Maybe he can make it four with Mora this year.

There were talks that the Utah win had some in the know question if a firing was going to happen. The Washington loss put him on life support, the Utah win provided a court ordered reprieve, and the Beaver loss pulled the cord.

I do know for certainty, had Oregon not lost that double overtime game in Berkeley, and had beaten Oregon State, they would have been bowl eligible, and he would have had exactly zero chance of being fired until he flopped this year.

Had he just beaten Oregon State, it would have been 50/50.

The good news is Mosster should be just finishing up 6A Alabama and ready to slide right into Corvallis. Plus he knows the rivals super in depth.

That would be the smart hire but the shine has kind of worn off that wunderkind, especially after Saturday night.

 
Lake would have no interest unless it's HC and even then I question if he'd take a destined to fail job.
Kwitkowski no way leaves.

John Smith on the other hand would love the opportunity and husky fans will be very sad to see him leave.
 
Baldwin would be a good hire in December with tanned and rested Dennis Erickson as Interim Coach. Dennis and Mike @ UTEP would have some good laughs together at Christmas.

They could do that, but why not go for Leavitt if that's your game. Grinch has no offensive experience that I know of. I'm assuming Lake isn't dumb enough. Maybe Kawasaki would take it and Lake can move up. Their AD used to be the AD Beaux Beauxldwin too.
 
I don't think anyone from Washington goes there, and probably not anyone from the conference either. The recruiting situation there is borderline career-ending at this point. You're killing yourself fighting for 6-6 unless you're a young no-namer to whom OSU sounds better than south eastern buttfuck State and a high school-sized stadium.
