The BLS report is always a survey at first and as more data filters in, it becomes more accurate. Again this is the gold standard.

It’s far more intensive than just presenting the data. Something 60-70% of jobs are on w2, that part is easy and one of your interns could handle that. Many assumptions need to be made to fill in the last part, and she clearly made bad assumptions which are her job to get right, and she failed miserably. End of story.
