Even under Ty and Gilby, UW has had the talent to win 4-6 games every year. Coaching matters.
 
Uh baabs, this aint tOSU. DING DING DING! What has stoops done the last 8 years (not counting the ass fuckings in playoff)? And in Tressels case, cheating doesnt prosper. Pete got to 92-12 the right way and is still coaching. $toops got to playoff because of the politics of the new playoffs, the big12 snub prior. Hardly a head coach id gloat about.

When Pete has his roster intact he'll win 10/year in an 8-team league, not a 3-team league like the big12. And he wont have an 8-year insignificance drought in said 3-team league. Lot harder to win in pac. Pete would win 11 games per @ Oklahoma

I like to criticize a coach for winning his conference and making the CFP, but fully support my own coach winning 7-8 games in year 3 with a charmin soft schedule. I do that.

Helf did have 2 really good years to start, but once all of Chip's main talent started leaving he got exposed. Oregons defense has gotten worse and worse, recruiting hasn't been bringing in the same level of talent as in the Chip era, and QB development has been a dubstep fire.

Pete had enough talent to do better than he did, and bad coahing cost 3-5 more losses than there should've been. BUT it's fucking dumb to assume he inherited a situation as good as Helfrich. There should be some gap between the expectations.

Overall though, both Pete and Helf deserve the axe after this year if they do any worse than 9-3. Pete needs to prove his system can win now that it's all in place, and Helf needs to make last year's train wreck seem like a fluke.
