@racebannon has sources saying Associate AD Reed Strong has reached a principal in agreement with Nick Saban.

Serious note, i guess they offered 10 yr/100 million + 1% of longhorn network rev.

So Saban's not coming to Washington?

I'm hearing that he will be announced as the new DC at Warshington. Expect the announcement of Chip Keely as OC to follow shortly thereafter.

Doesn't anybody recall Saban's flat denial he was leaving the Dolphins for Alabama? Right before he left the Dolphins for Alabama, that is. If I were him I'd jump. Sixth Street in Austin is too hard to pass up.

Just watch the 60 minutes piece on him and let us know if you still feel the same.

Saw it. And I'm not buying he wouldn't leave Bama for a final challenge. If he were younger he'd do it in a heartbeat. Age might be the real determining factor if he stays.

I don't buy that argument. Look at how quickly he turned Bama around. I see no reason why he couldn't do the same at Texas. Also, resurrecting two storied programs would pretty much cement him as the greatest college football coach of all time, and put him into the conversation for greatest coach in any sport at any level.

He's done two already. Texas would be #3. His rebuild of LSU was a bigger challenge than what he had to deal with when he took over Alabama.

And IF he goes to Texas he'd make an immediate difference. He IS that good.
