Napa is one of the better events even with a shitty field. Cool course that is basically completely brown and concrete every year when they play it. Big opportunity for PGA if they don’t fuck it up.
 
I give JT a lot of shit, partially because I like him and he has under achieved. JT and Homa were the only two Ryder Cuppers to play in the 2023 Napa event and that was a talking point after Rome.

JT was also the only American to play in the 2018 French Open, which was at the same course as the Ryder Cup where the US got blown out. He was probably the best American player that year at the Ryder cup. So he fucking cares and should be picked even if his current play doesn’t really support it.

There was a classic WGC at Doral where Tiger and Phil went head to head on Sunday which really didn't happen that much. Great venue and a great tourney that goes back to the roots

I’m taking the over. He won’t catch Tiger, but he’s getting to double digits. Rory and Spieth were always whiny bitches, even during their best stretches. Scottie is different. Phil fucked himself countless times by being too aggressive and missing putts under pressure. Scottie doesn’t do that. He’s maybe the most controlled player I’ve ever seen. He’s so good, he doesn’t have to try hero shots. He’s boring as fuck, which is why I really struggle rooting for him, but he’s exceptional. I’m struggling to come up with a comp from another sport. I guess I’d go with Greg Maddux. He doesn’t do anything that makes you say “holy shit, how did he do that?”, he just pounds the zone with monotonous consistency.
 
After the 2000 season Jack said Tiger was better than he was and if he stayed healthy and interested he'd break the record
Tiger is still interested but didn't stay healthy
Scottie probably won't break down but will he stay interested is the question

Absolutely. He was incredible. He just didn’t throw 98, and he didn’t have much of a personality. I was struggling to come up with a comp for Scottie from another sport.
 
Manu Gonobli is his basketball comp. It makes no sense when you look at it but it always works.

"Doing what it takes to take care of your family" is pretty rich coming from Tom Brady when his net worth is more than $300 million. He didn't keep playing into his 40's because he had to take care of his family. He could've retired after his first big contract extension and his family and their families were taken care of.
 
It's just as rich coming from Scottie in my opinion
