Passenger plane from Wichita collides with DC police helicopter minutes ago arriving to Dulles

I have not seen that covered. Sorry.
What is a DEI hire? There have absolutely been outreaches to find more employees to work in aviation. It's a labor intensive business and labor shortages have been a challenge. There is still a shortage in many roles. That outreach takes many forms.
I struggle to comprehend anyone in position of authority to approve someone to proceed in a safety critical role due to some lessening of standards for non-whites. They would be derelict in their duty if that happened.

Fucking Vanilla.
@Fire_Marshall_Bill
Actually, I don't struggle. You can just look at the dementia patient's administration. You think the Secret Service DEI hire was concerned about the safety of Trump? You think that Mayor Buttplug was appointed to make the US transportation system more efficient? You think that Kamala was selected as VP because of her sterling record?
Look, it's just not about hiring DEI incompetents. I agree that at some point you can relax standards and still hire DEI candidates. But, they actually have to be able to sort of fly a plane and sort of handle air traffic at a busy airports. And you can sort of cover up their operational inefficiences by giving them the easiest flight routes or make sure they have a really good co-pilot. Or that they aren't given an ATC job at Reagan airport but keep them at Omaha, Nebraska.
Next, who was supervising the ATC at Reagan AirPort and who was there boss? Apparently, there were only 19 ATCs on duty out of 30 supposed slots. You had the one ATC handling the airspace where the tragedy occurred. At what point does someone say, "Hey, we can't handle the helicopter traffic and all helicopters are now exclude until further notice from Reagan airspace." Your down a third of your needed staffing. You restrict air operations at 50% down? 75% down? When you have incompetent leadership you get bad results. The guy handling the airspace may have been a top performer but he was trying to do two jobs. I'm assuming that it wouldn't be his call to restrict accesss to the airspace. Whose was it?
Finally, there are two ways to hit your DEI hire quota. Assume DEI hires are your numerator. And your total hires are your denominator. If you are having trouble getting your numerator up to DEI speed, then you restrict your denominator by not hiring competent white males. Which is what happened. Then you blame problems on a staffing shortage. Sorry about the math leftards.

This thread is all over the place as usual
An accident can just be an accident
DEI and slashing government are their own subjects
Hiring anyone or not hiring based on race is unconstitutional. People forget
Not hiring the most qualified regardless is stupid
I get the thirst for revenge on the bad old days. Human nature is undefeated
But time to bury the hatchet before it swings back the other way
Sorry @Swaye for the appropriation written on stolen land

You are my favorite white devil and thus forgiven. I am just here for the hot pilot talk anyway.

Hurtful after sharing an alien rape chamber.
Then again I'll soon have my official papers to not be a white devil. Just when DEI is dead 😭

It can be an accident. But this isn't dropping a nice wine glass as you put it into the sink. The dems live by, "Never let a crisis go to waste". Put DEI around the dems neck and light it on fire. They were proud of it so what is the problem? Laken Riley was just one unfortunate and forgettable death according to the leftards. Same with the first Trump assassination attempt. A bunch of dems were unhappy the bullet missed. Then they were unhappy that a light was shined on DEI and that Trump was using his survival as a political weapon. I firmly believe as I set out that this was a DEI "accident". The FAA was undermanned (sorry) understaffed because the dementia patient was not hiring qualified white males. This let's the public know what is going on.https://ace.mu.nu/
This is a fact; the understaffing of the FAA has been reported since at least as early as February, 2024, and there is a lawsuit of 3,000 candidates for Air Traffic Control jobs who passed test to be hired, but who were then put on hold so that the FAA could change the test to be "biographical," i.e., they ask you about your race and what your race has taught you about guiding planes in to a runway safely. The 3,000 white candidates who passed the real test failed to pass the "Are you Black?" test, because they're not.
This was all by design. The FAA can claim that its Racial Ratios are "improving" because they're just refusing to hire white traffic controllers.
And if the towers are manned by half the staff needed? Oh well. It's more important to make the DEI numbers look good!
CNN's witch-faced megac*nt Kaitlin Collins demands Trump stop bringing up this highly-relevant fact…
Note that the attack line she takes -- "you shouldn't politicize a tragedy so early" -- is singularly inappropriate for a hack from CNN. On the night of the crash, CNN's DEI dummy Abby Phillip repeatedly attempted to blame Trump's eight days in office for the crash.

The reason to keep pressing on eliminating DEI is because the left just slithers away and comes back for more under a new name. They need to be crushed which is a big reason Trump is president again
Affirmative action illegal?
Well how about DEI then?

I agree. Ban DEI and then enforce the anti-discrimination laws. Enforcement isn't a problem if some business put up a "No Blacks Need Apply". But that's what our major educational and government institutions have done and many US major corporations just substituting white males.

What are the names of the military pilots?
I’m conditioned to believe that the longer the government takes to give information, the more likely there are some coverup shenanigans afoot.

It's a video, numbnuts. You're not good at this.
We all watched the press conference. At least I did.
"Routine annual re-training of night flights on a standard corridor for a Continuity of Government mission."

You got the vapors over a video on Alex Jones’ X account. Even were starting some beef with @AtomicPiss over it.

“It’s between AtomicPiss and me rawr rawr!” was your response.
I mocking you with my post.
Are you so sleep-deprived and burned out that you forgot that entire part of your extended manic episode, Weirdo? I’m guessing you’re still deep in it, Tweaker.

The “family” asked that the female pilot’s name not be released and the military is complying … why? That’s not how it works for military families.
The two men are known. Why the delay with the third?

There’s been a shortage for years, but there’s already too many white males in aviation so it’s best to be understaffed than over-white.

An aspiring air traffic controller who claimed he was denied a job because of diversity targets said the aviation agency’s obsession with inclusion made an accident likely to happen.
Andrew Brigida, 35, scored 100 per cent in his training exam but alleged that he was denied a position in an air traffic control tower because the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recruitment process favoured diverse candidates. He is part of a class action lawsuit filed against the federal agency.
Speaking after the Washington air disaster, in which 67 people were killed, Mr Brigida claimed that years of diversity hiring meant it was only a matter of time before an accident happened.
“You want to hire the best and the brightest for this kind of job because it is a very stressful job and it can take a toll on you, age you prematurely,” he told The Telegraph. “You want to make sure that the people that are doing it are the best.”
Mr Brigida graduated from Arizona State University’s collegiate training initiative in 2013 – a partnership programme with the FAA that was previously used to train and select the most qualified applicants.
After scoring top marks in his air traffic control selection and training examination, he was placed on a preferred candidate list until the FAA changed the rules. Under the Obama administration, the regulator replaced a skills-based test with a biographical questionnaire to attract more diverse applicants.
When Mr Brigida tried again to become an air traffic controller under the new tests, he said he failed the biographical questionnaire because he “didn’t fit the preferred ethnic profile”.
