Oregon Ducks Surprising Betting Odds vs. Washington Released

The spread seems about right (leaning to the ou enticement) but the O/U seems high especially is the weather plays a role (6 day out forecast looks decent).

The fact that this is significantly smaller than the one before the 2023 Pac-12 Championship Game (the banner hopefully still hangs) is pretty hilarious.

Sounds like Dan is gonna have to break something!

To me it's either going to be:

Ducks cover and win by 10+
or
UW wins

I don't see us losing by a TD or less.

Reminds me of my old report card, never did anything special but run my mouth. My parents could count on the Teachers comment that went something like "Enjoyed having your Coach in Conference"

It could be due to the game being in Husky Stadium and Oregon arguably having more injury concerns than UW. Oregon's OL and WR corp are pretty banged up while UW should return at least a few starters on O (and maybe even Isiah Ward on D, who knows).
If I'm Lan Danning, I don't worry about style points and use my deep RB stable to run the ball while loading the box to stop the run and make Demond beat me from within the pocket by throwing to a gimpy Boston and true frosh WRs.
So the under is probably the best bet.

I think you're spot on about injuries and Oregon needing to run the damn ball.

It's kind of the same thing for the Huskies too, depending on who Oregon has healthy at WR. Alex McLaughlin is pretty good and should be able to hold up pretty well against Sadiq in man-to-man coverage. For a LB, ZRS is good in coverage too.
I don't see the Huskies being able to establish the run all that well, even if Coleman is back. Fisch / Daugherty may be able to mix things up some by having both Coleman and Mohammed in the backfield together and manufacture some yards that way. Unfortunately, they may have to pass some to set up the run but they should absolutely not abandon the run. I'm sure Fisch will add in some screens and other semi-run like plays.
I sure hope Boston is ready to go because he is the guy who will either A) punish Oregon for single covering him B) draw pass interference penalties and / or C) force Oregon to roll coverage toward him, which would open things up for DeGraaf and other WRs.

Oregon didn't get the usual dick sucking this year because of Ohio State last year
Washington can't get ranked because of 6-7 last year
For Oregon to be favored less than 2023 is retarded
School colors aside they should beat up Washington like Ohio State and Michigan did this year
I guess that's why they play the game

It was the Indiana loss. The bot and bought media was frothing at the mouth before that game made them have to shut up.
The line is very friendly for UW. They are getting a lot of credit for being at home
The 2023 line was all time bad example of transactional or transitional victory valuing.

You have no idea how the lines work. It's all math. UW won those 3 games, 3 of the worst losses in Oregon history. Credit to UW. "Vegas" lines are the singular best way to predict outcomes, OR THEY WOULD NOT EXIST. Ahem.

UW's running game has looked better with Coleman out. He looks done to me.
Coleman had no business suiting up vs UCLA, let alone getting carries.

Mohammed is one of the oddest backs I can think of that's played for UW. He looks out of control and about to fall down whilst running, yet has a pretty decent AVG and gets the job done mostly.

Jordan Washington is a burner, I really like what he's bringing to the offense.

Indiana turned the media fully against Oregon over the last few weeks, but Race is right: going into this year, Oregon wasn't on many pundits radar due to the Plungering in Pasadena.

Ducks have injuries on the O line and UW’s strength is their D line. It’s a matchup problem and I’m all over UW on the spread, and I’m sprinkling the moneyline.
