I actually went vegan for 6 months in California due to my smoking hot assistant being vegan

Chaffee has been pure carnivore for six years. An Australian researcher gave him a friendly challenge to do his blood work. When the results came back, the researcher said that if he randomly took blood samples of 100,000 people, Chaffee's results would be #1 without a doubt. So Chaffee's argument is that humans ate that way forever until roughly 8,000 years ago when farming took a prominent role, and then of course cancer and dementia suddenly appeared 100 years ago out of nowhere, right in alignment with the industrial revolution and processed foods.
Chaffee also points out situations like where you have Chinese parents who are 5'2" and eating tons of rice and noodles, and then they come to America and they have a son with a more meat-centric diet and the son grows to be 6'2".
There is something to this.
Some food for thought here…
1- I'm always skeptical of "clinical trial of one" type claims. Show me a peer reviewed study based on clinical trails of 1000 "pure carnivores" over 6 years vs 1000 "healthy, balanced diet" guysm, both with equal amounts of physical activity and then we can talk.
2- Our ancestors having been "pure carnivores" before the agricultural revolution is pure hogwash. Almost all hunter/gather societies were omnivores eating the variety of plants as well animal proteins. The only exception I can think of are the Intuits we were evolved over thousands of years to eat and all protein/fat based diet and even then they were living on the edge of what's physically possible as opposed to the healthiest humans to ever walk the Earth.
3- Certainly the mostly rice Chinese or Vietnamese peasant diet wasn't optimal, but then consider who the longest living humans on Earth are. It's the Okinawans who eat mostly rice, soy, vegetables, and little bit of fish and pork. Examples are plentiful around the world of balanced diets that are superior to the American one.
If you did your research you would have found that the "Blue Zone" thing was fabricated. Those people eat a mostly meat or all-meat diet. I also know you well enough that whenever you trot out the phrase "and then we can talk" it means you've shut down your brain to any other possibilities.

I would like to see more data including a control group. An N of one is not a sufficient sample size for anything statistically valid. Additionally would like to see his blood work over time.

Stalin - but that's the inherent problem with doing one's own research on the internet. There's an infinite amount of information out there, some of it valuable, and lot of it being garbage.
I listened to this for the first 10 mins or so, and immediately started getting the "these are 2 peeps with a pro carnivore agenda" vibes. One can click hundreds of articles on the web saying the Okinawans, Sardinians, etc, eat a mix of carbs, veggies as well as animal proteins. Are they 100% accurate - I don't know? I would assume they aren't eating the SAD (standard American diet).
My mind isn't closed to the idea that pure carnivore could be effective in some individuals for weight loss. There seems to be some anecdotes to suggest it can. But without there being some clinical trials re: the long term risk for cardiovascular disease and/or other health issues, I'm going to be skeptic.
The various "extreme" diets set off all sorts of red flags in my mind. In all the chats I've had with my PCPs, you start with the "low hanging" fruit- e.g., cutting out alcohol, processed crap food, sugar, etc, and focus heavily on physical activity.
The low hanging fruit for me is more Perrier with Electrolytes and less beers and whiskey. But god damn it, I love the hedonistic pleasure of alcohol.

Can you define what you mean by "natural remedy"?
I agree that western medicine has a major issue with profit motive, and that it is also focused on symptom → treatment instead of holistic treatment.
Nutrition education aside, doctors know damn well that eating healthier and exercising more are the first two things that 90%+ of their patients need to do and would prevent or reduce many of the ailments they are tasked to treat. How many Americans want to do that? How many actually do? We can debate specifically what eating healthy means but I think we can all agree the current SAD can be easily improved upon.
 
People want easy. And easy doesn't last
When the gang of contractors met up again at a walk through after covid everyone had lost weight and looked better
We talked about it and no one was grabbing fast food on the run but were eating at home and exercising in all the free time. Covid restrictions lasted a long time in California
High stress and shitty food and lack of even a brisk walk takes a toll
 
I often say that doctors need significantly more training in psychology and sales (communication) to convince their patients to actually do what they need to do. It's the only way to overcome people wanting easy which doesn't last.
 
I'm pretty sure I haven't posted this… But after I had instructed the doctors to remove my dad's feeding tube, then I ended up calling my surgeon from I-5 wondering if I was going to suffocate to death on the freeway. He instructed me to meet him at the Evergreen Hospital emergency room. While he was tending to me, he asked what I had eaten that day. I told him I had half a steak and a hard-boiled egg. He shook his head in disgust and said that was the worst possible thing I could have done. I asked what I was supposed to do, and he told me to eat Jell-O and applesauce. When I scoffed at the idea of eating all that sugar, he looked at me said "You eat all the sugar you want." When I told him that he was telling me to eat poison, he looked at me and repeated condescendingly "You eat all the sugar you want."
This all coming one day after having 5-hour surgery on my neck. I emailed Dr Chaffee and gave him all the details. Chaffee was saying these people were out of their fucking minds. He said you need protein to recover from something like this. Jello and applesauce have zero nutrition. Etc…

I don't know. Maybe John Dutton could fund the clinical trials.
Neither one of my recent several PCPs have been pill pushers. Both are strong athletes who eat extremely clean. One even recommended an herbal supplement which I take cause why not.

I spoke w a GI doctor once who told me I needed to change my diet. I was legitimately open to what he had to say. He was Indian (dot) so I thought he might be about to impart some auyervedic wisdom. No chance. He slid a piece of paper at me with the food pyramid and the four food groups - SAD. I left in disgust as I already knew I couldn’t eat half that shit.

Banana
A bit of OJ (not too much - don't wanna get diabetes)
Chia Seeds - one of nature's greatest super foods
Bunch of Power Greens
Scoop of whey protein powder (24 grams of protein)
Some Greek Yogurt

I spoke with a doctor yesterday. I offered a handful of alternative therapies. All poo poo’d for his much more (literally) toxic and grossly expensive approach. And the solution is he needs to sell better?

With all due respect I think that misses the mark when it comes to discussing efficaciousness of complex problems.

Once fruit touches the blender it increases the hypoglycemic index by 4x. With that said, I still choose the antioxidant benefits of dark berries in small amounts.

I include power greens, chia seeds, a protein powder, various mushrooms and other supplements.

I usually take the yogurt, cottage cheese probiotics separately.

*Disappointed to find out the protein powder I bought from WF and like is now owned by Nestle. Will be shopping for another option.
