Official Iran conflict game thread.

What are they going to keep it closed with?
Iran can still lay mines, and attack with cheap drones. But Iran also needs to ship via the Strait, so they are ultimately choking themselves (something familiar to Ern). Their pipeline network can't handle the amount China needs- they are going to starve themselves - the question is how long will it take.

It will take as long as it takes for them to run out of weapons. Choking the supply is high on the list of objectives

And when does China say enough already

US forces are resupplying and are tanned rested and ready for another go

To be clear we're not doing this because it's easy. We're doing it because it's hard

But necessary

A regime that slaughters 40,000 of their own in a month should be taken seriously when they call for your death

Next step will be arming Iranians and letting them take to the streets. We gave the Kurds weapons and they're trying to leverage their fiefdom before handing them out. The IRGC isn't getting paid and guessing that holds true for most groups trying to prop up the regime. Lots of rumors about desertion- There isn't a long-term play for the Mullahs.

Under reported story. Trump said the Kurds kept the weapons

Didn't hear it was the Kurds - but did hear that whoever brokered the deal kept the weapons and didn't get them to the people who could use them in Iran.

You'd think if we could build a fucking airstrip overnight and lift an injured airman out, we could do some drops in the desert of pallets of arms.

Maybe we did and that was just a wink wink deal so the Kurds can defend themselves against Erdogan when he goes mullah mullah mullah post-NATO.

I remember when the Democrats were upset that Trump wasn’t attacking NATO member Turkey because of the Kurds. Now Trump is the bad guy for wanting to reform NATO.

Kurds are denying they kept the weapons. I listen to Erick Erickson's show, and he seems fairly plugged in in. He indicates they are holding them until they have some land guarantees. Trump said he was against giving via the Kurds-

From Gemini AI:
  • USA Share: The U.S. accounts for approximately 62% to 66% of the total defense spending of all NATO allies combined.

  • Dollar Amount: In 2025, U.S. defense spending reached an estimated $980 billion, while the total for all NATO members was roughly $1.6 trillion.

You’ve never seen Gallipoli? Great movie 👍

We're the biggest and richest country, with the largest military in NATO. No shit. We choose to have an enormous defense (offense?) budget. We're still not paying the most for our defense as a percentage of GDP in NATO. Poland and the Baltics got us beat there, and other NATO countries have done a good job catching up recently, like they should have. It's one of the very few things I can give Trump credit for, and yet he still shits on our NATO allies.

The original point to Sled, which he and I assume some others here don't understand, is that NATO isn't an organization that we pay into. It isn't a country club. There aren't dues to join the club. Each country pays for their own defense individually. We CHOOSE to pay our gargantuan defense budget, every year, all on our own.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of NATO that millions like Sled have because they are retarded.

They can mine the fuck out of the strait and make the only passable lane near their shore, which is what they're doing already.
