When Petersen was named the new coach, Riva called an old high school football friend who knew Boise quarterbacks Kellen and Kirby Moore.

"I heard 'You're gonna love him, he's a great guy,' Riva said. "No one said a single bad thing about the guy. He stayed in touch with all his guys that had played for him. Once I heard that I knew we were set."

The Moore brothers' endorsement is in step with every other coach polled about Petersen.

Perhaps its already been discussed - but WTF is with the new format this year

Opening statement by each coach, players introduced behind some curtain/different room...then the media bum rush the stage for chaotic/disorganized Q & A

Is a traditional press conference too much to ask for? Not kick ass enough, no close-ups or selfie opportunities?

You obviously don't understand. They got to dress up with some sweet toys r us clearance superhero items. They even got their picture taken with a digital camera. Larry Scott had a kick ass groupon for these fucking sweet glamour shots which he used for the advancement of the PAC 12 on the national stage. I don't even understand why I have to explain this. It was a DIGITAL CAMERA. The PAC 12 is a modern conference and fucking loves iron man and semi faggy SWAG. #yolo

That's too bad, but he should consider himself lucky. I wasn't expecting Sark to honor his scholarship after he greyshirted last year (because Sark did that a few times at UW). But he got in with Petersen and will now be able to get a college degree at no cost (besides the back injury).

Doesn't really change our depth at NT since I expected him and Gaines to both redshirt.
