New Uniforms

I find them to be inoffensive and think they will age fine. The colors are right. Those are really the biggest concerns I had since the fan gear will follow the path started by the football uniforms. I also don't want to have to buy a new uni every year like the Oregon-Nike bs. If you're getting insanely worked up over these I would recommend a long walk for some perspective.

For some reason everyone needs to see 12-0 and a championship. But in recruiting we can be middle of the pack and our branding can be middle of the pack.

Why should we not have the best uniforms? The best brand? The best recruiting? The best game day?
We sure as fuck have the best stadium and we have one of the best coaches.

Make shoulder stripes double white on purple, and double purple on white. Make purple numbers larger on the whites (no gold border). Make W on Purple lids chrome gold. Make W on hip slightly larger. Add alt. gold pants with traditional pant stripes. Make gold on pants more gold to match lid and you've basically nailed it. I can live with these but they don't make me want to hump the mattress.

Almost every "new release" of uniforms for various teams look like shit in my opinion. I'm sure most of this board is on the same page. These new uniforms are an upgrade from what we had, but a far cry from what we all want. It's probably about time you realize that old, out of touch fuckers like ourselves are not the target demo. I don't know what optimal "branding" looks like in terms of a uniform aesthetic, but clearly the personal tastes of the white 30-50 year fan segment is not it. But you're a literal marketing professional, so you already knew that.
Those are some pretty minor suggestions. White shoulder stripes being maybe the most significant. "Make W on hip slightly larger" is comical. That's a criticism? The only issue I have is that the numbers on the white unis are too thin of a font, and putting a gold W on the purple helmet (which probably will be used once a year). Other than that, if these are the biggest complaints that people have we're talking about stuff that's personal preference, not wholesale fuckups like the Nike abortions were.

They are minor, I agree, but the devil's in the details. Slightly larger W on the hip is not a criticism, it's a suggestion. These are way better than the joke Nike played on us, I agree. They are an 8 for me and not a 10. I can live with an 8 but I want a 10.

Overall, I think these are pretty decent. They look like Adidas' standard P-5 template, which is better than Adidas' other offerings, but I expected them to put in a little more effort instead of just GaTech's uniform considering how much they paid for the privilege.
