New Uniforms

The 49ers uniforms with the dual shoulder stripes should be the template for ours and they should never change. Maybe slightly thicker pant stripes than the 49er ones and a deeper gold color of the pants so that they're not exactly the same. But that's what I expect UW uniforms to look like. It's not fucking hard if you do any kind of research on our past uniforms and how that style has been replicated on the modern jerseys of today by other college and pro teams.

It's just this with the sleeve stripes bumped up to the shoulders on the modern jerseys:



Simple, classic, beautiful uniforms that represent the brand we're supposed to have and that recruits would want to wear.

And they should never wear black shoes or black socks unless it's for the all purple combo. White cleats and white socks is the clean, classic look that kids actually love and think is cool and should be worn for our traditional home and away combinations. I also really like the AWAY white jersey and gold pant combo but it sucks without pant stripes on the gold pants.

What's lost in all of this is the fact that Adidas doesn't appear to be coming out with a husky logo. That was the #1 reason I thought 2009-2018 UW Nike branding was so lazy.

Sure, high school is easy when you're not exhausted every day. Anybody who has never played football will never understand. While others were just regular students taking it easy, I was waking up at 5 AM every morning for an hour of team lifting and conditioning before school and then going to practice for two and half hours after school with more conditioning after that. And that would be after not going to sleep the night before until 12 PM doing homework. The physical and mental fatigue is constant as a student athlete. I played football, basketball, and ran track and got a higher GPA than you. Lake Washington doesn't play fucking football. I played in the same conference and whooped LW's pussy asses like they stole something every year. Ain't no pussy here and I'd whoop your ass in a fight. Stop with the fucking tuff talk. Something I was noting, too. Wondering if there's a Dawg at all, or just using the W.

Also, I'm probably in the minority, but I think that sleeve stripes that wrap all the way around suck and are dated looking.

Only positives I can say about these is the purple looks good and the numbers on the purple jerseys look good and there are no more black unis or black anywhere which is good[/b].

The gold pants as usual are a miss. No pant stripes is fucking terrible. We are the same as Notre Dame, Colorado, and UCLA. Why the fuck they want us to look like those teams I don't know. But basic ALL gold pants are ugly and basic as fuck. Nobody wants to wear that shit.

They couldn't even give me pant stripes on the white pants either. Fuck this shit. This is not a uniform that will ever be considered a college football classic or one of the best in college football.

I don't get why they didn't do dual shoulder stripes on the white jerseys. Instead, they did a stupid, extra thick single stripe. So close but no cigar. Can't stand it when people over think shit and make slight differences to the design of home versus away uniforms. It kills the traditional vibe.

Speaking of over thinking shit. The numbers on the white jerseys. Just, why? Why would you do that? Those skinny ass numbers look stupid as fuck. I don't get it.

I fucking can't stand gold trim around the numbers at all. I think it's a pussy look to try to make them look pretty. I just want big, thick, traditional numbers with no trim around them like the old days. But at least the gold trim around the numbers on the purple jerseys makes the numbers the right size.

Overall I'd rate them a 4/10. It's a fail for me. I don't like them and I think as time goes on everyone will hate them. They have just replaced old problems with new ones. They replaced the black shoulders on the purple jerseys with skinny numbers on the white jerseys. It's retarded. We are not a blue blood program and will continue to struggle with our brand and national perception as long as we continue to fuck around with these uniforms doing stupid shit and not creating a classic, old-school, smash mouth brand that we are supposed to embrace and that people around the country respect.
