My dad has spoken

My dad was a season ticket holder for 61 years, from 1957-2018. (He discontinued mainly because the late kickoffs meant he was getting home at 1am all the time, and he's now 83 years old.)

When I asked him about USC and UCLA going to the Big 10, he said it was a betrayal and even dropped an F bomb. It was the the first time I've heard him drop an F bomb since after the 1998 Oahu Bowl.

Then he said, "I hope USC and UCLA both go 0-12 every year!"

When I pointed out that those schools would play each other every year and thus someone would win one game, he said:

"Well then I hope they both go 0-11-1 every year!"

At the risk of living in the past, how did your dad feel when the Pac-10 betrayed the Huskies in 1993?

Should have been obvious back then that the conference hated winning & making money.

I have only seen my dad sobbing three times in my entire life. When my grandpa died, when my grandma died, and when Don James resigned and UW was put on probation.

79 USC wins the natty. 81 and 82 USC is on probation

91 huskies yada yada yada

02 to 05 USC. Then probation

And despite no public hammer something knocked Oregon down after 2011. Double secret probation IMO

Your point is still valid, but USC finished #2 in 1979. Alabama was 12-0.

They're crushed UW/UO souls for over a decade but since 2017 they've been eligible for relegation to the ivy league. 2018 they were okay I guess but got so lucky against Oregon that the UW game in HS (the one where Pete got way ahead and then did his pussy 2nd half gameplan and almost lost) shouldn't have mattered.
