I should have remembered this game because I was in Longview (7 years old) watching the game with my dad and his frat buddies, and I was the only one cheering for Alabama. For some reason I thought Bama won it all

I remember ND jumping ahead of FSU and then losing against BC the following week when an ND LB dropped a game ending interception. BC went on to score at the end of the game. Should have been Holtz’s second natty. As a casual Irish fan, I was devastated.
