Soviets are trash and always have been. Best known for soup and bread lines, famines, and losing.

I meant to follow up with @CFetters_Nacho_Lover on this. I think if you look at early 1941-42 performance of the Soviets they look twash AF and there's no way they get to Berlin in April 1945 with out lend lease. At the same time, the US probably is looking at 500K to 750K dead to take Germany w/o Soviet cannon fodder.

But you have to look at the USSR based on the cold war might.

- First in Space
- Massive Ground Game that could have overrun NATO conventionally rather easily
- Good military equipment- i.e., tanks, jets, SAMs
- Energy sufficiency
- Only country other thank @ukdawg and @SECDAWG to ever pose and existential threat the the US Homefront.
