Poor people don't have iPads or WiFi. Right.

The joke at my kids public school was the regular kids had the iPhone 8, while the poor Free and Reduced Lunch kids had the iPhone 10. And new Air Jordans.

It's amazing what luxuries one can afford when they don't have to pay for essentials like food, calculators, Kindles or any other essential items themselves.

Nothing has changed morally for teachers, they’re just showing their true desires. If there wasn’t a pandemic they would be “not teaching” in person.

The one thing I have always like about Europe that I heard about long ago was the Trades path you could get on in high school instead of the academic path. I would have loved to spend high school learning how to build a house myself and then entered the job market ready instead of OTJ learning. I was always going to go to Oly Tech and take carpentry but never had time once I got going.

I think that was Germany.

I learned about it in Denny. Yes that is a great system as the kids who don't like college have a great/fast path to a career. The downside according to my german prof was that kids have to make life decisions earlier than american kids to go into it.
