LEARN TO CODE

There’s gonna be a movie about OpenAI’s cap table someday. Red flags to say the least.

The Throbber is NOT keen on the use of data by AI. The Throbber does have privacy concerns. Who controls the data and who has the capacity to influence the bias of responses from things like Claude or ChatGPT

We’ve already lived through Google censoring replies and prioritizing answers that fit their agenda -

Will it be possible to call bullshit on Claude and will he simply be another shill?

Probably need to fund an NGO to study this and tell us the correct answer.

Claude crashes constantly if you feed it the kind and volume of data I work with. Having it go through and automate your spreadsheets and work your browsers as an extension with power user level privileges...I mean...if you're a small business owner and want to try that out then go for it.

I still contend that healthcare costs are the biggest driver of all these problems. A dipshit is minimally costing you 30k in healthcare alone versus these models that constantly make you feel like you're accomplishing something even when they just update their own context/md's.

For me, the solutions it plans for and its options, many of those are inferior quick and dirty setups that make sense only when you're in a recession and have a skeleton crew of retards at your disposal.

I’ve got it hooked into my ERP now, it’s pulling actuals, comparing to budget and creating reports anyway I want them and can refreshes them automatically into the excel file. I’ve done powerBI for this kind of stuff in the past and it works good but I’m not good enough to do things on the fly with real coding. It’s really insane.

Everyone could learn from your Level 6 internship that didn’t lead to a job, @HuskyBuck. I’d like your further thoughts on why billionaires are bad since you clearly were at a high level at Lake Union.

Gemini ai is great at creating AI slop, like my award-winning Leaving Sedro-Woolley graphic from the other day

Oh you mean Tech workers have to adapt to new technology as it comes in and can’t stay stagnant? How long have you been sitting on this insider information?

The one you should worry about is haie who has the technical skills but absolutely sucks at applying those skills to customer needs.

Finally if you’re saying I shouldn’t have wasted the last 15 years in Tech, guess again. I’m better off than 95% of America w/o making another dime from this job. Translation: it doesn’t suck being me
15 years and 4 years of college to make level 6.

That is quite accurate. One downside I’m seeing to what it is producing is that the excel formulas Claude is creating are pretty intense. One combined an idex, an xlookup and a sumifs. It worked, but good luck trying to reverse engineer or troubleshoot that one.

Mrs Throbber just warned the Throbber about developing a close personal relationship with Claude. She already has issues with a bunch of internet message board degenerates

What was that link for the sex robot again?

There's a handful of developers that if they asked for a raise I would have no problem giving that to them. But then again typing shit on a screen has never been what SWE has been about and if it was then tons of shitbreak retards would be successful.

Accountants and sales people I'm in lockstep with our majority owner about automating out. Sorry guys.
