Appreciate you sticking around after a tough one like that and you were right that Oregon had one of the best teams in the country but couldn't get past Indiana. To win it all in college football seems like you have to be supremely talented, have an excellent coach, and have an identity/team of destiny thing going. Indiana was the only team with all that this year. Sometimes you can get away with not having much of one but you better be generational in others - thinking 2024 Ohio State and 2019 LSU with just superior talent. Ironically, I think 2010 Auburn is the only champ I can almost ever think about who lacked in all those categories, but I guess Cam was able to push them through.
I don't know about blaming Stein. When I watched Oregon their offense really only did much against non-terrible defenses when they were running their dialed up plays and once it came down to jimmies and joes they didn't do much. Their RT might be the biggest shitty douche to ever walk the earth.
Not sure about Tosh either. Oregon's defense had been lights out all year. College offenses being broken probably had a lot to do with that, but how much Indiana eviscerated that D is really impressive.
