Donating the cost of the 2020 tickets isn’t an option for me. At the same time, as much as I want to say FO, give me a refund, I can’t bring myself to do it. I got to do a lot of cool shit in college because some other rich fucks opened up their check books. So I think UW can keep my money in the bank as a small token of my gratitude.

You should get a refund and donate it directly to rowboat.

My usual $ spent on football bullshit is going to Rugby's very modest scholarship fund.

Surprisingly I haven't noticed rowboat asking me for any money since this shit went down.

Which brings up a few interesting questions:
Does the Pac-12 control UW's fall rowing schedule? Men's rowing is not an NCAA championship sport. We'd typically do the Head of the Charles and a head race at home. The Head of the Charles is going to be "virtual" this year (ohhhh kay), are we allowed to compete on ergs?

Will the fall golf and tennis events which usually happen be cancelled? The USGA is putting on the US Amateur in Pac-12 cuntry right now (Bandon Dunes) full of college golfers. The USTA will hold the US Open in a few weeks and is running youth tournaments again, though they did cancel the juniors championship of the US Open (PM to Dennis DeYoung: The wheelchair division championships are still being held). Those are socially distant, low risk sports by nature, is the Pac-12 really saying you can't compete in these right now?

So tone deaf, bush league on UW AD part for following 3 reasons.

1) Passive aggressive tone of e-mail. Yes I want to step up and be all in/give me ticket money as a donation, OR No I won't step up and be all in on the donation just apply them to season tickets next year.

2) Giving people TWO WHOLE WEEKS to make decision on what to do. What is the damn hurry for? Season isn't starting for 6 months best case scenario.

3) Any e-mail you send out will be at best seen by 95% of people. Other 5% our of country, on vacation, family issue, etc etc etc. On 40k base even if 99% reply that is still 400 people who won't and with lowest season ticket price point at $500 that is minimum 200K they will be just taking from ticket holders. When they happens, how many of those people are going to call and bitch, but more importantly tell them to FO with their tickets in general?

This isn't a misunderstanding/error in communication. This is a deliberate action by the AD to grab whatever money they can from the best customers they have with mentality of results be damned.

Newsflash Jen: You've lost 5k season ticket holders the last 5 years with the best run we've had here in 30 years, and don't have your former bosses fan base who also wears purple and gold (Roll that tiger) with a 20k waiting list peeing themselves to grab them.
