It's too damn hot outside drinks

While I do go through phases the one constant I've seemed to be able to drink on any hot day, anywhere, at anytime is a whiskey sour.

Nothing fancy, just some american whiskey of choice and lime juice or lime-ade. Depending on how sweet the whiskey is a splash of simple syrup. Fill my metal cup up with ice, pour 3/4th's whiskey and add the rest of the ingredients to taste.

Other preferred drinks when it's too damn hot outside?

My go to is vodka and cranberry with a lime. Splash of pineapple really ads something too.

Also a fan of Absolut Citron and tonic when I'm thirsty.

Nothing wrong with a classic Mojito. I have a mint plant growing on my patio just so I have some at the ready during the summer months.

This is one of the wife's go-to drinks for summer. She'll buy mint plants and then bug me to make them.

I’m sure your lovely bride has already thought of this, but it’s sometimes fun to play with the type of mint or add other plants like lemongrass or Thai basil. Gives it a little kick.

Sangria is great too. Good for using up that bottle of red wine you’ve used for cooking.

That was my grandma's drink of choice. Not saying you're a grandma so don't twist

Her mouth would get "a little dry" was her explanation when my mom would ask her why there were a dozen empties

No worries Race. I like classic cocktails, I don’t care if it makes me look old fashioned*.

*Pun intended

Another for mojitos. Sounds like @Doog_de_Jour and me were meant to be.
