as mentioned previously, and if you truly didn't know, grades didn't pan out ... sounds like he is a 4* for football but he needs serious work in the classroom to be able to play D1.

I have seen interviews with players who I'd bet good money couldn't spell more than a handful of three letter words. I'm actually shocked that academic issues of any kind are a barrier to a D1 scholarship at the pointy end.

You would be surprised. I played high school basketball with a fringe D-1 kid that probably read at about a second grade level. He once wrote a paper on my family’s computer that my whole family was astounded how little of a grasp he had of writing. It was like a first grader wrote it.

you should see the writing samples of some people I work with who went to top schools like Harvard, Furd, etc. the entire human race is a fraud
