Kyler Murray carved up an outstanding Alabama defense in the playoffs. Only problem was he had an Alex Grinch defense.

Why are we talking about height for a college qb? It’s not the NFL. Just be awesome and who cares🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Just read the post, brother. This is all suggesting a serious attention span problem in our ranks. What are we drinking around here?

The answer to your question is in the very first post in which the topic was raised.

@Canadawg I was thinking the same, 4 inches taller and he doesn’t have the same speed and athleticism. I get both sides of the argument but the difference is “who gives a rip” about his professional measurables. Sure we want our dawgs doing well in the pros, my alligence is to Warshington dammit!
Plenty of QBs with athleticism and speed who were 6 feet tall or better. Nobody said anything about pro measurables or Payton Manning or making Demond slower. It was a simple point that I now regret making. It is just ostensibly harder to play in the pocket when you're under 6 feet tall than it is when you're not, and he is mostly definitely under 6 feet tall. It is also harder to be a successful MLB pitcher when you're under 6 feet tall but Tim Lincecum did it. Does that mean that MLB scouts no longer look for size when they are scouting pitchers? No, it doesn't.
You with me yet?
I didn’t recall your original point but I don’t believe I disagree. When most of your O-line is 6’5” it’s obvious being over 6 feet would be advantageous. My counter argument was there have been plenty of shorter guys that had great success at the ncaa level. That qb from Vandy from Netflix’s is a baller and he must be an inch or 2 under 6’0”
lol I keep wanting this thread to die while bumping it. I’m guessing more than a few wouldn’t remember or even know about the Flutie gif I attempted to smack you with in good fun. How about all three of us stop bumping this shit.
I would have thought it obvious, too. Ostensibly, it turns out, it is not.
