Husky Jacks open thread [2025]

Didn't we see that offense in El Paso last year, along with a bunch of OL that were going to start this year but didn't play much in 24?
I hate this website more than Phil Knight.
You seem extra salty about the website, this is about vanilla or those guys right, just curious?
One issue I’m having which really sucks is the back arrow because it doesn’t clear the yellow highlight of comment I just read. I’ve never had my reads down as an old, I seem to make navigation here more difficult than it needs to be. Shit I can’t even properly explain my issue, assuming it’s a “me” issue and not the site.
It's a joke. The website has been working great.

They're not ready for our portal DT secret weapon.

Day's been watching film of MSU/Mich/SC coming up here and playing like shit.

Kind of, but I didn't put all my eggs in that game because it was against Louisville's backups.

We had a ton of players that were backups playing though?
Against a really good offensive coach that pretty much was the Purdue football program.

Always nice when the paid whore tells you you're handsome. Urbs was sucking off Lanning and the Ducks the other day, too, just fyi.
Still, Demond is a talent, though I wouldn't say he's "exactly" what you look for in a QB because he's short. I've seen him at street level and 5'11" feels generous, as football rosters tend to be. Short can work, but I have a documented bias against QBs under 6'2" (the Joe Montana cut-off).

3 QBs have won the Heisman in the past decade that were under 6'2"

Don't care. That's why they call it a bias. You view things that don't conform to the bias as exceptions.
Always important to keep context in mind, though, when responding to comments down here in America. Urbs said the guy is exactly what you look for in a QB. Do you look for shortness in QBs? I don't. It's something that the player has to overcome and the position is hard enough to play as it is. If you were building the perfect QB, I'd assume you would avoid physical limitations that the QB has to overcome. Here, as with the case of all QBs under 6 ft, they can't see very well standing in the pocket.
6'2" is the perfect threshold for perfect.

Obviously few extra inches would help as my wife can attest.
Demond being a legit 6 foot or a hair under 6’2 wouldn’t hurt but the college game isn’t the NFL. He has what many “experts” describe as elite arm talent and his athleticism is also elite. He’s got similar traits as Russell Wilson his first 5-6 years in the pros. Once Russ lost his burst/speed and athleticism he became sub par and he’s sucked the past 6 years.
It’s easy to poo poo the Heisman winning qbs in the NFL but that doesn’t matter at UW. Tua at Alabama was elite like Bryce Young, in the pros their measurables hurt their game and they have a ceiling.

Let's do it this way:
Pretend this guy is a Duck and someone said "he has everything you look for in a QB."
Now go.
