Yes but said players coach has consistently shown great discipline and development as a position coach so there's at least reason to think he may be able to do both.

I'd still bet Lake is more likely to be mediocre than great butt the meter is trending up for me, no question.

I just don't see Lake as half as undisciplined as Sark. The recruiting abomination scares me and the OC hire abortion terrifies me but his track record as a position coach says this dude is highly competitive and attentive to detail.

I'm not convinced he'll be great but I can't really see him being Sark 2.0.

This also confirms a lot of what plenty of observers of the program could tell was going on with Pete at the helm. He's essentially saying "under Pete we folded in tight games or when we were down."

A culture change was clearly needed and it appears Lake knows that, under Pete, energy and passion was missing.

I will forever love and respect Pete for what he did for the program AND for stepping down. He knew what was best for the program. Most coaches aren't that selfless.

The fact that Kwat is one of the best defensive coordinators in the country is a massive fucking plus. Allows Lake to free wheel more.

Also the fake half season with no fans, limited media, and a isolated bubble for the team was so fucking lucky for a new first time head coach
