I don’t know whose job it is but seems kind of weak Seattle or Bellevue couldn’t open up one closed high school stadium for them to use for this. @Logistics ? Might be on Stanford to figure it out, but still.

Since local high schools are closed, they have limited to no staffing. There was lag time in summoning groundskeepers from leave on short notice, especially after Thanksgiving weekend. Many had left town on road trips with their families.

I commend Coach Shaw for being a good logistician and making best use of resources available.

This also confirms a lot of what plenty of observers of the program could tell was going on with Pete at the helm. He's essentially saying "under Pete we folded in tight games or when we were down."

A culture change was clearly needed and it appears Lake knows that, under Pete, energy and passion was missing.
 
The old adage is that a "player's coach" does best in the first year taking over from a more autocratic coach.
