I'm slightly optimistic until thinking about how USC's new coach will get all of these guys.
This is where the early signing day destroys teams like USC. In the past they could bank on a huge recruiting class by firing their shit coach who recruited great and then hire a new coach and everyone gets fired up about the future... then they steal everyone the last week before signing day.
Now, 80% of prospects are signed in December and they can't really do shit about it. It's such a massive advantage for us and such a huge issue for teams like USC.
This is going to bring them to their knees if they don't get a great coach... because if USC doesn't sign top 10 classes every year, can you imagine how fucking bad they'll be?
I don't think they are even going to be like 6-6 regularly, that's not my point. But I could see them ending up with situations where they finish 15-20 in recruiting every year and that will lead to a lot of 8-9 win seasons down in South Central.
I'm hearing it isn't over until they enroll though.
