Jedd's 2023 team seemed to get a lot better after they lost to UW, so the next 4 weeks are going to say everything. I don't even know who they're playing, but it isn't Indiana/Oregon.

Basketball might have that right now. Tough to find. Most people are just looking to move up.
I can't think of a single serious candidate that has any sort of connection to the program or area that would fit this mold. Convincing someone like Matt Campbell to be like do a Petersen thing where you take a stab at doing your thing at a bigger but not as intense program might be the closest option.
One of my worries about Jedd was that he isn't a guy who strikes you as a run through a brick wall for him type but in the age where it's like 95% roster acquisition and management not sure how much that matters. I also thought it was a good sign here that the team never quit against probably the toughest opponent you could have and they wanted to hit and play d.

UW basketball blows UW football out of the water for my thing of "shit that makes sense but somehow doesn't work" so we'll see if Sprinkle does anything. They had a front court of Spencer Hawes, Jon Brockman, and Quincy Pondexter and couldn't even make the NIT one year.
