Do you think Jr wants to spend the next 4 years in fucking Columbus? Eveyone he knows is here and he would love to ball out in front of them for 3 or 4 years. His dad has connections here and the sky is the limit for Jr when being the hometown guy.

UW offering shows extensive dialogue behind the scenes. This staff does not fucking around when it comes to recruiting. They wouldnt have offered if they dont think they could get him to switch.

Yeah OSU is a strong program, but Day is a big question mark and the state of Ohio fucking sucks. There is a reason their alumni are everywhere - they all GTFO as soon as possible.

100% spot on. Dad's work keeps him tied down to Seattle, especially his work for the Seahawks during the football season. Would be tough for him to see Gee Jr. play in person. UW is pretty much the only way dad can consistently watch him play. There's a reason not having the UW offer before caused an emotional reaction from dad. They've both been wanting this offer for a long time. I'll doog with you brother. He'll be a Dawg!

don't forget, Ohio State is one of those blue blood programs that the NCAA allows to play only home games. Gee Sr will be going to Columbus EVERY weekend until they force the west coast guy out by accepting another transfer from Georgia or Bama or somewhere...the kind of shit that would never happen to him at UW.

It would be one thing if we had just whiffed on a bunch of WR prospects and all of a sudden offered Gee in desperation to save the WR class but that's not the case here at all. Our WR class was looking possibly historic before this offer even went out.

What is possibly hypocritical about this offer?

Wow. I couldn't disagree more. This is a total win-win for Pete and UW. It's an obvious win if Gee comes to UW because he is a talent. Still a win if Gee goes to OSU because it reinforces Pete's message that you get an offer when you check all the boxes and not before. Makes him look like he actually lives his words unlike most of the college football salesman. Huge plus for the good guys here.
