Drinking beer and listening to the classics

Alll depends on style of beer at this point. I could pick it a dozen "best brewery" based on what I'm drinking. Pfriem is on the overall top tier, though. Many good things there.
I stay in good river every year. Their beer scene is better than almost everywhere else.
I usually stay across the river from Hood River on the Washington side at least once each year. Girlfriend's family has a house there. Not a big brewery guy but will have to check out.
We stay in Skamania lodge a couple times a year. I've seen Fabio a bunch in their breakfast thing. One time the waitress came over to us crying because he knew her pretty well and her husband had just died and he said he was going to pay for the casket, or some really substantial part of it.
If we have our kids with us we stay on the Hood River side, because despite their effort Skamania still kind of sucks for kid activities.
Thunder Bay Brewing in Cascade Locks is the place I most recommend because it's such a nice facility, and in the summer there used to be all sorts of other fans to talk to, whether quooks or Cal/Stanford bros trying to windsurf/hike or whatever.
In general I just have had a way better time in that area than Bend, but I don't ski or care for a lot of the stuff in that area which is a big reason.

It's a very cool area and incredibly unpopulated on the Washington side. GF's family just has a place there because it's mega cheap and they love wine country, which is about all that's there. There's a mega dive bar in Klickitat that randomly has really good steak at a great price if you can accept the small town service and guys staring at you vibe.

I've boycotted the lodge since they replaced the golf course with putt putt, AstroTurf par 3s, nature trails, zip lines, and all the other faggy stuff. FTG.
I really miss having that course as an option. Some years I played it 20-30 times.

Pretty fresh can. Doesn't look nearly as muddy as that photo.
I give it a 7.6.

I was talking to tap house owner the other day and he gave me some pretty bad vibes about Matchless.
Seriously bummed if that's true.
I picked up a couple of their fresh hop releases last week and was kinda disappointed by them. I don't think their beer is as good as it was a few years back.

In honor of the Ducks SICK win I had to go to @46XiJCAB favorite spot and pay 60$ for 3 beers and a 4 pack that is literally brewed by the same company.
No movies the last weekend. Silent Hill f was the Halloween game this year. Okay so far. 1960's Japan for horror is great.

I've been waiting for your One Battle After Another review. I honestly can't even get through the Wikipedia plot summary.

Goddamnit…
It has gotten some good reviews and it appears that the plot is actually "one battle, after another".
Leo doesn't do shit films for the most part….
Bought a ticket for the 8:00 showing tonight.
It's Paul Thomas Anderson. He rarely sucks…right? I didn't hate Licorice Pizza.
Honestly this is the kind of movie I usually go see with my wife on "date night" once ever 6 fucking months but she seems pretty over political movies after Civil War.
Let's fucking Go.

I have a friend that would murder me for talking about Paul Thomas Anderson without mentioning one of the great American classics, There Will Be Blood.
He will never top that movie.

It was pretty good. I thought it would be a little funnier, but I enjoyed it. 7.5/10.

Best film of the past 20 years.

God fucking damnit vanilla.
The jokes are set up mostly in the same way, but I thought Eddington paid off much better. I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't seen it. If you're as tired of Pedro Pascal as I am you'll enjoy it more.
This movie, Sean Penn after the car crash part until the end was funny though.
I agree it was about a 7/10 and Eddington mostly was as well.
That scene with the helicopter above the forest in California was mesmerizing.
