I have a misdemeanor criminal record and did 30 days in Multnomah County in my younger days. No salt in the food, reading a lot of books, and finding the non-addicts to hang with made for a book I should write. I’ll see someone freak out in a negotiation and know where I’ve been and what I’ve seen. Calm down, Margaret. It’s just a job.

If people were allowed to invest their own social security dollars, there would be a big hole in bond demand. So not only does the money get raided out of the trust, but the trust existing props up the deficit spending.

The dazzler uses that line that we need illiterate non-English speaking illegal aliens who come her to go on US and state welfare to save social security. Seems like there is a world economic laboratory out there but ideologues like the dazzler aren't interested in actual economic results.
 
My argument remains that we have a labor shortage, especially in crappy occupations Americans won’t fill. Incidental increases in social security collections are not my focus, although they do benefit us.
Now on the bright side, the labor shortage will be felt less acutely while the current administration drives the economy into recession. So you girls do have that going for you.

My argument is that there is a skilled labor shortage and now that your illegals are out of jobs, the businesses that employed them are rightfully being shuttered while my talent pool of US machinists and operators is expanding.
What a time to be alive as a 100% American employee staffed manufacturing plant that exports all over the world.
Go chase old people in the Ozarks, scumbag attorney who drives up insurance costs while you drive after ambulances.

We seemed to do alright when they cut off the spiget of mass immigration between roughly 1925 and sometime in the 70s IIRC.
 
If we actually have a labor shortage it is only because of the welfare state. Which is only propped up by the fed.

I’m finding in the last three months that there still people who want to work and take pride in it after losing their jobs propped up by illegal labor.
Great candidates who are blue-collar skilled and make/fix things. Makes my job easier so I can make fun of TugTards.
