Denzel Boston

It’s bizarre. What receiver doesn’t relish the chance to win a game by diving for the pylon? But it’s like it didn’t even occur to Boston to try to score.

He was strategic and wanted the coog to burn their three-time outs on 4th down. What's funny is the stupidity of the other coach by not calling his three timeouts to save time on the clock if the Huskies scored actually saved him even though we did get those two offside penalties that fucked us but that's okay we just wanted to keep giving it to ourselves with a cactus

Wrong Denzel

Boston and Durfee right now still proving the never trust the unstoppable practice hero reports. I feel like on that play stretching out could at least get you some yardage in a situation where every inch matters, setting up a better fourth down.
I didn't like how conservative they seemed to play it on some key third downs, throwing in front of the end zone and a couple times seemingly being okay with just setting up FGs and punts.

Phew. Where to start.

1. Ran the ball like SHT against a Cooger Defense with JAGS.
2. Rogers …for the love of God there are more receivers than Jackson and Boston. Learn how to distribute.
3. Boston is NOT a 4.4 guy unless his running on a decline surface. In the 4th qtr when it matter he got locked down and looked soft.
4. Defense looks like a bunch of guys not yet used to a bigger stage.
5. Secondary improved over the game but many don't have a feel for Zone coverage yet
6. OL are the guys we "said" they were. We going to pay for whiffing on OL Portal targets but not as much as the OL guys who are going to get plungered bloody.
7. Need more Defensive vocal leaders on Offense and Defense. No hair on fire moments. A lot of sleep walking.
8. Kind of miss the old days when we were so physical that teams may have got the win but they took a beating to get it.

Durfee is one of the best players on the team and easily as good as anyone else on D

Saw some nice Durfee plays in run D but never noticed him in pass rush in a game where it was really need. I haven't rewatched though.

The question is, who is the other Edge who will step up? Wayne looked decent in the 2nd half and nearly had a sack. Jacob Lane flashed a little last year but I haven't seen him this year. Holtzclaw isn't that big and Heims is likely a back-up JAG. The Arizona transfers haven't shown up either.

UW's linebacker situation is disturbing. Even before he got hurt, Bruener hasn't played to the level I thought he would. Seems to be guessing a lot and missing opportunities to stuff runs at the line.
