Team Dazzler has slowly been killing off the US legal system. These are the same allegations that was used against the legal US tobacco industry. Rather than directly tax the manufactures or outlaw the product, just have corrupt judges and stupid jurors fine the hell out of them. So, a Multnomah County jury is to be allowed to assess $50 billion in damages for manufacturing oil and gas. Oregon can't get a carbon tax passed with huge democratic majorities in the Oregon House and Senate and a death hold on the governorship - but no problem, just skip the democracy part of democracy and go for lawfare. Just like the tobacco lawsuits should have been dismissed, this should be summarily dismissed. Team Dazzler would love to do the same thing with the US gun industry and hold the manufacturer liable for gun deaths that have nothing to do with product failure.

You notice that they aren't suing the chicoms or even mentioning them. We put out just 15% of the world's annual CO2 production and yet US oil producers and consumers are to be the ones to pay while the chicoms put out double our production and theirs is growing and ours is declining.

Everyone knew that smoking was unhealthy. Why didn't Team Fascist just ban cigarettes instead of putting a warning label on every pack of cigarettes. What has big oil been lying about? The issue is the sale of a legal product that everyone knows is harmful the manufacturer's problem? Legal means its legal. If Team Dazzler thinks it should be illegal, then do it. Or tax it. I've known hundreds of smokers and I don't know of one that thought it was healthy and should be made illegal. As for the manufacture and sale of gasoline, any user is just as "guilty" of killing the planet as Chevron. Pony up dazzler, it's the right thing to do and we know how much that matters to you.

Since 1964 the seller had a warning label on the product. I'm hardly the one that is confused. How many smokers did/do you know think that smoking is good for them? Certainly not any conservatives. Again, why didn't Team Dazzler step into the fray and outlaw cigarettes?

Care to bet how often this will be used to protect abortion protesters at Planned Parenthood abattoirs or parents protesting against grooming in their kids' kindergartens? Michigan’s Democratic House passed legislation on Tuesday that enables attorneys to shut down “hate speech.” The new House Bill 4474 is a vague and unconstitutional censorship law that determines “feeling threatened” as reasonable grounds to prosecute offenders.
The punishment for making someone “feel threatened” in Michigan is five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
