There is one thing in the David Long recruiting circus that gives me hope:

Why did Harbaugh feel it necessary to bring his entire coaching staff, play football with Long's little sisters, climb a tree, etc.?

I know Harbaugh is weird but it smacks slightly of being a "throw everything at him and see if we can change his mind" kind of thing. I keep thinking back to the way Sark tried to sway Arik Armstead vs. Chip Kelly's approach. In that case, the clown show did not work. Could be similar here.

I thought about that too because what the fuck else am I thinking about all day?

But then I thought- Harbaugh isn't like Sark. Harbaugh is competitive as fuck. Can't stand losing and loves winning.

If he was losing Long he wouldn't get goofy he would get balls to the wall serious. This is his victory lap cuz its over. He gone.
