I’d say He’s about even with Cal and CU now. WSU, ASU and OS are in rebuild mode where it looks like UCLA has a better program than them. He has a lot of teams to leapfrog.

A great point. I can't remember which thread it was, but there was a great discussion about this in the off-season. It is exceedingly rare for a coach to pull it off multiple times, although the coaching graveyards are filled with people who tried. That's makes Urban and Saban etc all the more impressive.

A great point. I can't remember which thread it was, but there was a great discussion about this in the off-season. It is exceedingly rare for a coach to pull it off multiple times, although the coaching graveyards are filled with people who tried. That's makes Urban and Saban etc all the more impressive.

Especially Urban for doing it at three stops in situations where it was clear the success achieved was 100% to his credit. Saban did it at LSU but I don't recall him being that great at Sparty.

Butch Davis had me worried for 5 minutes at UNC, and he was recruiting like a motherfucker, but couldn't put it all together therefore blowing up.

I'm not worried at all anymore and it's arguably the easiest game left on our schedule.

Chip sucks. 1-15 cemented it. He was a right place, right time coach. He's just collecting a fat paycheck at this point.
