Carson Bruener quote

bruener gets it. Fisch really did the program a disservice not going to him way sooner, though.
he went into the portal and then came back
Some booster gave him a considerable amount of money to stay. That had to played into him starting the whole season.
I actually didn't know that. Kinda disappointing, especially since he grew up in a 10,000 sq foot house near the wineries of Woodinville the son of a father who has NFL money and whose family had money before that. It's not like he's a kid from the hood whose life would change with the money. I guess he was pissed about playing time, but I will tell you, and this I know pretty close to first hand, that is a Washington family. if any of that trickled down to the kid, he is a Washington kid through and through. but, he may also have his own NFL dreams, and you can't realize those cheering for your teammates from the bench.
Not Carson, Will Rogers

If the OL were average for the B1G, this team would have won 7-8 games now. The OL should be at least average next year and 8 wins should happen. Need 2 big DTs and a LB in the portal. Demond can win +1-2 Big games with some of his big plays.
9 wins next year
8
2025 Washington Football Schedule | FBSchedules.com
2 preseason wins to begin the season. 8 wins might be generous unless Jed gets his shit together on the road which is in question after this season.
4 straight road games in conference play isn’t favorable, last game of the year at Wisconsin. 9 wins? I’ll believe it when I see it as a half full guy.
2026 2028 should be special.

The home win streak ends next year with tOSU followed by Oregon. Both those teams bring in a paid Jr/Sr portal guy at QB.

That's not the schedule. Dates TBA

Oregon is not portalling in a sr QB. They’re very confident in Dante Moore for 2+ years as the starter.
It’ll be an OT, DT, CB, LB, S and MAYBE a WR depending on what Evan Stewart does.
QB, IOL, DE, TE, and OLB/Edge are likely settled with what they have coming up from the 23/24 classes.

I really hope Oregon is dumb enough to not portal in a QB. If they brought in, say…Mateer, then we’re all fucked again.

It's tough to say how the team will do next year until we see how they do with a full portal period. Ideally Fisch and staff have the resources necessary to greatly increase the talent and depth on the OL, DL, at LB, and probably 1 high level WR and Safety.

@thechatch When I was reading the duck board early in the season, I got the impression you guys didn’t like Moore. Your collective can pay for a guy to at least complete with the former ucla 5 star, why wouldn’t your coaches hedge against the average/bust possibility at the most important position on the field?

The Duck Way is to pay for a veteran QB who will have more than 60 games under his belt by the time he "graduates." Seems to work pretty well. Why change now? It's not like money is limited or anything.

Dante Moore is a bust. That’s what everyone here is saying, who to believe?
I don't know if he's a bust. I do know I'd rather take my chances with Moore than Oregon taking their annual top 3 QB out of the portal.

I don’t think there’s really any good portal QBs this year, is the problem with that. and the qb draft class is so bad that any guy who’s experienced may as well just go pro because they’ll go 2-3 rounds higher this year than in ‘26

I think I'd take Mateer over Moore. I don't know who all the portalees are at this point, but that's a likely option available to the haves among the college football elite.

@creepycoug You might wanna sit back and leave the postin' to Pup for a while. Get your reads down and then you can join the higher discussion board.

It's just such a lazy troll take after MPJ and Poor Man's Brownshorts combined for 11 years of CFB.

I think it is likely that someone other than Moore — someone not currently on Oregon's roster — will start next season as QB for the Ducks. I wouldn't put money on it being Moore, that's for sure.

coaches really like Moore. I’d put it at -110 on either side.
