The context it lacks is that it is a proportional response to an invasion by Russia.
A country in Ukraines shoes has to do those things.
You cannot hold an election while being invaded. Which is why it was in their constitution.
You guys act like Zelenksy declared himself Putin 2.0 ruler for life.
So as long as he keeps there war going on, we can't question any of this, as it's all justified. Maybe an endless war is the goal then.
The parts that Russia holds are 80% pro Russian and would never vote for Zelensky anyways (even pre war). He would surely win an election if he held one in just the parts that the Russians don't control right?

Youre free to question it. I do agree Ukraine should throw in the towel on the DPR/LPR. Barring a Putin death and complete collapse I don't see how Ukraine can take back Crimea, DPR, LPR.
Those far East regions might have been pro Russian, but you do that through a referendum and other means. The international community has never been against breakaway areas like Kosovo, South Sudan, etc.
Russia sending their soldiers in to incite rebellion is how they chose to go about things.
Ukraine has to make difficult decisions as a result of Russian political maneuvering.
When did Congress approve of Biden giving Ukraine 10 years of financial support with a minimum of $500 billion as a starting point, and no future Presidents apparently can’t end that support?
The ROI on this one looks enticing. No money for the US border though - priorities.
