If it’s the parents gun they should be charged as well. As a left leaning gun owner who carries every day…inconceivable that a child/kid could get a hold of a handgun.

There are serious consequences from leaving our mentally ill wandering about. We have 5% of the mental health care hospital beds we had in the 1960's. And things have gotten worse since then.
